I have to make a decision between 'Ohana and 1900 Park Fair (both for dinner). We have never done either of them. There will be 7 of us - DH and myself, our two DDs (7 & 8) and 3 grandparents.
We have other character meals planned - Akershus and Chef Mickeys.

Which would be your pick? :listen:

Ohana's for sure. Especially since you will have the grandparents with you. Give the poor folks a break from the buffets.

If you can get grandma & grandpa to sit for a little longer, try planning your reservation (ADR) at O'hana for about an 1 hour 20 minutes before Magic Kingdom fireworks.

They pipe-in the sound and some people take advantage of being able to see the fireworks from inside the restaurant.

But also think about grandma & grandpa eating from the all-you-can-eat skewers and/or musical entertainment.

My grandparents would have preferred the entertainment and 'exotic' presentation at O'Hana, make sure that would work for your family.

I prefer Ohana but with kids that age, I think they will really like 1900 Park Fair so I voted for it.

I would definitely pick Ohana. We have been to 1900 Park Fare several times and are always disappointed with the food.

'Ohana is not a character meal for dinner. Characters are only there at Breakfast (Stitch, Lilo, Mickey and Pluto)

1900 Park Fare is a character meal for dinner. At dinner there is Prince Charming, Cinderella, The Ugly Stepsisters and Lady Tremaine. The Fairy Godmother sometimes makes an appearance.

Personally Id do 1900 PF just b/c Ohanas has been going downhill lately we did 1900PF for dinner in Dec 4 adults and a teen. The food was good and the character interaction was HILARIOUS! One of the step sisters wanted to marry my 20 yr old son and kept referring to my 16 yr old DD as her maid.. I wish I would have remembered to bring the camera my DD face was priceless!! Stepsister insisted we use our phone and take a pic of her and her MAID with the MAID seated while she stood over her looking DOWN..My daughter about fell over trying to get up to show her up! Hubby laughed so hard he had tears..

I'd go 'Ohana as you're doing other character meals and the food at 'Ohana is great.

I vote for 1900. The last time we were at Ohana, we were very disappointed. Its just not what is used to be.

My vote is for Park Fare! Both have good food; however, the character experience with the step-sisters is a must-do with 2 DDs! It's one of our DD's favorites:thumbsup2

When we were at 1900 Park Fair in Feb 2012 with our then three y/o grandson, the music where Cinderella and Prince Charming each dance with a guest started playing. Drizella happened to be at our table at just that time and since my grandson had been chattering to her and did not appear the least bit shy, I guess she decided he'd be a good guest for her to dance with and it would have given us some really cute pictures. My grandson had other ideas. She just said "dance with me" and started picking him up out of his seat. He immediately bowed almost backwards in her arms trying get away from her and started yelling, "I don't wanna dance, I don't know you, and besides you're ugly, let me go, let me go". We were so embarrassed, but at the same time it was hilarious.:rotfl::rotfl: She let him down slide down to the floor, huffed, and said "fine, I'll find me another gentleman to dance with" and stalked off to the next table.

To OP: I too would go with 1900 Park Fare, but my husband would definitely choose Ohanas.

I agree with a PP, give the Grandparents a break from the character buffets and do 'OHana. There are still things for your children to do there, but it will be good for the grandparents to get a break

For us, it would be Ohana without hesitation. We went to 1900 PF in December 2010 and while we loved the step sisters and thought they were hilarious, we didn't like the food. This is just my opinion, but if you're going for entertainment, go with 1900 PF; if you're going for the food, go with Ohana.
