Magical Express Mail?

I was reading a TR and the person said that she got tickets or something for the Magical Express? Do you have to book the magical express, or how does that work? Also how would you get the tickets and when? Thanks as always!!

You have to reserve it in advance, just call. DON'T wait until the last minute; give at least a few weeks to make sure you get your packet. Packet includes vouchers and one luggage tag for each person on reservation.

I'm speaking from a recent experience. We booked our complete package (room, tickets and dining plan) through the Walt Disney Travel Company. We booked our flights almost a week later through SW. After booking flights, we were told to call the Walt Disney Travel Company and provide them with our flight numbers so that The Magical Express would know when to pick us up. Two years ago for our trip, we received a little ME booklet with our "tickets" to board ME. They were scanned by the Cast Member and we boarded ME. Hope this helps.

Magical Express is the complimentary bus service for transfers between MCO and a Disney resort. When you book (or after you buy your airline tickets), you need to call Disney with your flight information and register for ME if it's something you want to use. About a month or so before your trip, you will receive tags that have your resort name on them, which you attach to your luggage. You don't have to mess with your luggage at MCO as Disney takes care of everything (this is what the tags are for) and your luggage will eventually be delivered to your resort. I think you also get paperwork or tickets for registering/boarding the bus at MCO.

We have not used it yet, but we received our ME luggage tags and vouchers about 3 weeks after we booked our vacation. The booklet you receive answers any questions you might have and gives step by step instructions that we found to be "dopey" proof.

I have a question too. This is the first time using ME. I received my packet with ME tags and such. However, my flight info is listed as unavailable. I did give the CM my flight #'s when I did our ressies. Do I need to call and give them the flight info again? CM did mention something about it showing on ME as Midnight but that was standard and not to be alarmed?? I have no idea what she was talking about. But apparently we are signed up for ME or we wouldn't have received the info in our packets. Very confused about the whole process.

I'm sure everything is fine since you received your ME packet, but if it were me, I'd call and give the flight information again. It may also be a glitch that the flight information is in the computer but just didn't get put on the paperwork.

You're fine. Flight times change (either rescheduling or delayed). It's important Magical Express knows what day to expect you; time, not so much.
