Makeup for Disney!

Hi makeup lovers. :) I haven't come across a similar thread but thought it would be fun/helpful to share products we are planning to bring at Disney. Disney is a challenge for makeup lovers because it's hot and makeup can melt off your face and run and has to survive getting wet. I tried googling and found some stuff on YouTube (Most useful video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FibRbos4bIM) but a lot of it is very impractical (e.g., false eyelashes).

My plans:

- Toner: Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion. It has a powder in there to absorb excess oil. At this time of year it's too drying for me, but I'm thinking it'll be good for Disney.
- Moisturizer: Clinique Acne Solutions Moisturizer. My skin is sensitive so this'll help me avoid breakouts while at Disney. I wear this every day anyway because it works.
- Sunscreen: Neutrogena Dry Touch in SPF 45. Normally I'd skip this because my "foundation" has SPF 30 but since I'll be outside all day, the extra protection is needed.
- Foundation: Smashbox CC cream. It has SPF 30 and primer built in. I was toying with the idea of bringing Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation because it really lasts all day, but it definitely feels heavier than the Smashbox CC Cream. Also, then I'd want a primer...
- Powder: Either Smashbox Halo or MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural. I might bring both.
- Blush: I definitely need one with long-wear. I think I'm bringing Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Fearless and Mac blush in Small Vanity. Both are Limited Edition, I believe, but the Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in particular is great for long-wear and comes in lots of colors. My favorite is Fearless.
- Mascara: Definitely waterproof. I'm bringing Urban Decay Cannonball.
- Eyeliner: I am a pencil or gel liner girl. I'm leaning towards bring pencil liners only because they are more subtle. So, I think I'm bringing a few colors of Urban Decay 24/7 liners and maybe a few Stila Smudgesticks.
- Eyeshadow primer: Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Eyeshadow: I think the easiest will be shadow pencils and cream shadows. I'm bringing a few Clinique Chubby Sticks for Eyes (Whopping Willow, Pink & Plenty, and Ample Amber), a few mini Urban Decay 24/7 shadow pencils (Sin, Juju, and Rehab), and a few cream shadows. I may also bring one small palette for night time, either Too Faced Natural at Night or my Urban Decay Naked 1 palette.
- Concealer: For under eyes, Mac Prolongwear, for belmishes, Tarte Amazonian Clay concealer stick
- Setting Spray: Urban Decay All Nighter. I think it works a bit better than DeSlick.

All of this should be light feeling and last the whole day. What's in your makeup bag?

EDIT: I'm not planning to wear all of it at once. Just using toner, sunscreen, bb cream, powder, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, brow pencil, and eyeliner to the parks along with some tinted lip balm.

Garnier BB cream.
Burts Bees chapstick

How do you like that MAC Mineralize Powder? Is it cakey? I use MUFE High Def Powder but don't love it.

I use very little if any makeup when we are there. Maybe some eye or eyebrow stuff but that is it. In the heat and humidity I could never use all of that stuff listed in the original post.

I just stick to some tinted foundation, colored lip balm with an spf, and waterproof mascara.

I think no matter what you use, it won't last through a whole day in the parks. And half smeared on makeup looks a bit crazy. And I don't have the patience to stop and re-apply makeup multiple times when I'm in the parks.

I have and will always use makeup ( full face) on my trips to Florida..Even in the summer..I have never had any issues with melting off.I use alot of waterproof stuff though.I use mostly Makeup forever products ( they were designed for water performers).I also use Nars Primer on my eyelids.

I'm a big makeup girl too! I use:

Toner: Simple Soothing Skin Toner
Moisturizer: Aveeno Positively Radiant with SPF 15

Primer: I LOVE Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, but it's pretty pricey, so I recently switched to Laura Mercier, which is just ok.
Foundation: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H is my favorite, and if I'm having a splotchy day (I have adult acne), a double layer evens me out pretty well.
Powder: Tarte Smooth Operator Micronized Clay Finishing Powder
Blush: I love Tarte Cheek Stain in Blissful. Goes on quick and lasts all day, if I remember to put it on before I do my powder!
Mascara: I've had just as awesome results from my drugstore Maybelline the Mega Plush Volum Express as anything I've tried at Sephora! Though I did get a sample recently of Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! that I really like.
Eye Primer: I also use Urban Decay Primer Potion
Eyes: I use my UD Naked Palette for shadow and liner. I love that I can bring just one palette and I can get a neutral eye for daytime and a smokier eye for if we go out to a nice dinner. Typically, in a park, I like to use the matte shadows, so I use Naked and Buck and Darkhorse as liner. If I want something shimmery, I use Sin or Sidecar, Toasted and then Hustle or Creep for the liner.
Concealer: Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer is amazing and the size of a small lipstick, so I can bring it with me for touch ups.
Lips: I usually just stick with chapstick in the parks, but if I need a touch of color, I love the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose.

I don't use a setting spray (I tried All Nighter, but it didn't work for me). I actually use the De-Slick in a Tube before I put on anything else to keep my oil under control. It does a pretty good job!

Last, I've found that CLEAN's Shower Fresh eau de parfum is AMAZING at making me feel (and smell!) like I'm super fresh and clean, even after walking around in the sun all day! It's amazing.

I haven't tried the MUFE powder. I like the MAC MIneralize powder a lot. It really sets makeup nicely and I don't have caking issues as long as I don't go overboard. I tend to use it with my regular foundation (either Estee Lauder Doublewear Light or Tarte Amazonian Clay) but with my BB and CC cream (both Smashbox) I tend to use the Smashbox Halo powder for extra coverage. Not sure which to bring for Disney or which will work best. So I may bring both and experiment.

Love the new smashbox CC cream and plan on using this one next time.
Concealer smashbox hd concealer
Blush and lIps Nars Multiple in Mauritius + some Gloss.
Eyes :Make up for ever Aqua sticks or BareMinerals Round the clock for a darker line.
If I use powder I´l use the Bare Minerals sunscreen .
Mascara :haven´t found the right one yet and plan on using some of the ones here suggested.
Great thread

How do you like the Tarte Smooth Operator powder? I have a sample of it but haven't really used it. Is it good at oil control?

I never leave the house without something on my face, even if its only going to last an hour in the Disney heat, I cant make myself go without. I do wear way less for e parks though. I tried BB cream for my last trip and it was a godsend! One thing instead of five! Other than that, I prefer loose powder in the morning, a little neutral shadow (Lancôme seems to stay put through most of the day) and waterproof mascara, and of course tinted lip balm all day

I like it, but I don't notice much difference from the Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder I used before. I'll stick with the Tarte though simply because the jar is wider, so it's easier to get my kabuki brush in without making a mess!

Full makeup is a must for me, even in Florida heat. I have used Bare Minerals foundation as well as several of the Lamcome ones; but it is an absolute necessity I use Model In A Bottle setting spray to keep it lasting all day and night with no touch ups. I really spritz it on in the hotter months. The secret I have found is that when your face perspires or if you cry, never wipe it. Just take your fingers and pat at it like you would when applying a concealer until the moisture is removed or evaporated. You will never get streaking this way. With a good setting spray, it is not the water (sweat, tears, or spray from water rides) that melts makeup, it is the wiping that messes it up.

I also have been pleased with Lancomes 24-hour shadows and waterproof mascara. I have been tempted to try false lashes if I could find a very natural looking set. Since turning 40 my lashes have thinned out a little and I have squeenchy eyes. Also since turning 40 I have lost some of my lucious thickness in my hair, so I sometimes will supplement with real hair extensions. I don't look very good with my hair up unless I'm a lot skinnier than I am now. I like the hair to hide my face as much as possible. This growing old thing sucks!

I have rosacea (sp?) so I need something to cover up the red. I've had good luck with the Bare Minerals in the summer and just my regular make up during non-melty times. It stays on pretty well for my needs.

My make up regiment is just foundation, powder and mascara. I hardly ever wear anything on my lips, mainly because I forget to put it on!

Where do you find the Makeup Forever products? Do they sell it at Sephora? I've never heard of that brand but would love to try it!

I always do full makeup in the parks. I usually use liquid eyeliner in the parks, because for me I feel like it stays longer.

I burn easily because I'm really pale, so on vacation I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunscreen and then powder on top so I'm not all shiny. I'm currently using CoverGirl Smoothers pressed powder, and it's quite nice, I like it. I didn't use waterproof mascara last time I was at Disney World because I didn't go on wet rides, but this time I'll likely use waterproof, though I've yet to find a brand I like. My non-waterproof mascara is L'Oreal Voluminous. Other than that, I just use some eyeliner. I don't like a long makeup process for early mornings so I keep it simple, and I don't like to spend a lot of money on makeup so everything is a drugstore brand.

@rebeccaariel, Have you tried Covergirl Lashblast waterproof? The one in the orange tube is very good.
