Paying dues on Resale contract?

Can you still set up your dues on an auto payment monthly if you purchase a resale contract, or do you have to just pay it all at the end of the year?

I'm sure they would allow you to make monthly payments, but I really like the auto debit option.

Actually they won't allow monthly payments other than if you do a direct draft. It is open to all owners resale or retail though when allowed.

I thought you could make payment monthly? We aren't able to, but that is because we are in Canada.

You could technically make payments every month anyway by calling up MS and asking to put some money down on your dues can't you? That might be an option too if it's possible.

Maybe call a resale place and ask them over the phone before you make a purchase to know for sure.

I bought a resale contract last summer. The current years dues need to be paid in full, by either the seller or buyer, for the sale to close.

The next year's dues that the buyer would be fully responsible for, so for now we would be talking about 2014 dues, you would be able to either PIF when due at the beginning of 2014 or contact MS to set up the auto debit from a checking account.

I just closed on a resale contract and it was the same for me. All 2013 MF's had to be paid in full in order for the contract to close.

But, as you mention, once 2014 hits, I can begin to pay monthly. My other contract is already set up that way so I am assuming they will just do this one too, since its the same membership.

Unless things have changed recently, the ONLY way you can avoid payment in full for the Jan dues is to have a direct bank draft monthly. I suppose you could pay ahead monthly but not behind as the bank draft allows. There are NO other ways to pay monthly in arrears that I am aware of.

Thank you all for the info! We are always watching for a contract to add on with, and if we could have an auto debit of our dues was a big factor in deciding if we were going to go back through Disney or actually go with resale.

I would much prefer to pay half of Disney's prices, obviously ;)

Thanks again!!

Fortunately this option is not related to resale vs retail, either has the option as it currently stands and I don't see any way that could reasonably change. Good luck with your add on search.

I just set this up this past January. They told me to fax a copy of a void check, but I never ordered any checks after I used them. All my banking is online. I faxed a stub with my bank name, routing #, and checking account #. And on the fax sheet I requested that payment be drawn on the first of the month. The other option they allow is the 15th every month. I was told by MS that there would eventually be a link to add bank account information for MF on member site, but as of now it has to be faxed. Just to be sure I called back 2 days later to make sure they received my info, which they did. First payment was drawn on 15th and all the rest have gone out on the first.
