Hi All, we have a 1 bedroom at Kidani Village this coming July and wanted to see if anyone had any information on the best rooms located on the savanna view side. We want to be close to the pool and also have a good view of all the animals! Any help would certainly be appreciate. Also, Is there any good threads we can check out that I might be missing (perhaps one with rooms and views!)? Thanks

We are thinking about staying there also in the fall. We wanted standard but still a view of the animals if possible. Any room numbers?

I think some have stated that Pembe Savanna is an online checkin option for standard views. They should be the rooms with a partial pool view and a partial savanna view.

You generally hear people talking about low floor, close to lobby...if you have a savanna view category room. It depends on priorities, does low matter more than close to pool? (Low gets you a little closer to animals). Some prefer low to lobby proximity, even if it means a long walk.

Sunset savanna, the large one, has giraffes, Pembe does not. If you want to be both close to pool and have Sunset savanna view then request either (a) Sunset savanna view and near the Rafiki elevator, or (b) close to lobby on the north wing. The (a) request puts you somewhat closer to the pool than the (b) request, and the (b) request puts you closer to the lobby than the (a) request.

Here now having booked 2br standard view. During online checking the only option for request I saw on "pembe view" which I selected.

We are on 3rd fl #7753. Directly outside our balcony is the animal path that connects the different portions of savnah on the back side. From the master BR end of the balcony there is a decent view of the pembe savanah end closer to pool & lobby direction.

We have seen plenty of activity. The warthog in particular seems to enjoy running back & forth each day.

It is a little bit of a hike from lobby. My kids actually counted and said 670 steps from room to bus with her 12 yr old legs :)

We are looking at renting points for a Savannah view studio, and would also like to be close to the pool with a good view of the animals. Is the resort split by room type, as in all the studios in one place, or are there rooms of each type throughout? Would the same recommendations apply?

1 or 2 bedroom? We lucked out with our 2 bdrm and got a view of the savanna. It was more off to the side and back view, but there were plenty of animals and we didn't have to book with extra pts! :)

We were going to do a 2 bedroom at Kidani.

There is no clustering of certain rooms in one location. Kidani is made up of 2BR dedicated rooms, meaning they can only be 2BRs, and 2BR lock-offs, which are studios and 1BRs that can adjoin to be a 2BR. Both are located next to each other throughout with the result that studios are on every floor in every location in the building. Requests I mentioned above would work for a studio too.

What was your room number? I may try to request it. Was it standard 2 bedroom?

Both of the savanna views I've had were good. We have been very out in the second to last bead. We don't mind that. There are windows inbetween all of the beads and we like to pause at each and look at the animals. We see different ones at each stop. So, there are animals all along the savanna. We have stayed there twice and I didn't make a request either time. Once we were on Pembe and once on Sunset. We will be going with my inlaws this year, so I requested close to the loby (FIL is 80). The walk can be long if you are on the end, but we personally don't mind it.
