Another shredder!! Hope you aren't too sore tomorrow! After the first time I tried he workout I could not start immediately as I was travelling for a few days. I hurt everywhere for a few days!! But then once I started it never got bad again. Jut keep going! We will help you to stay motivated for the next 29 days!! Ad while the program is designed for training every day for 30 days, I am now convinced that taking a day off per week is not going to destroy your efforts - as long as you truly take off only one day and that one day does not suddenly become one week!! But if you get through with it, you will be amazed about how much strength you will be gaining!

Thanks! So far I'm feeling good, last night when I finished I was all tinglely, I am hoping not to miss a day but we all know how life gets in the way!

March was a complete fail for me because I was on mandatory overtime so I was working between 12-16 hour days so my eating suffered and I did nothing in the workout way. So its as if I'm starting all over again. Hoping to see some results.

Mine has to be guacamole, although Kalamata olives have to be a close second.

Tomatos with olive oil. Either as a salad: just chop up some tomatoes, drizzle olive oil over it, salt them and shred a few leaves of basil. Delicious. Or the other version would include heating the olive oil up in a pan (not too hot!), sautee some garlic in it, add the tomatoes and let it cook for a little while. Add basil and eat it with pasta. If I can splurge on calories, I will often add a little more olive oil just before serving it, so that there is some uncooked oil in it as well. Both are my summer staples. Can't wait for the real tomatoes to become available, those winter greenhouse ones just aren't tasty enough.

Hi I am Michelle and I did a couple of the BL challenges last year and can't wait to hop back on the wagon.. I did manage to keep off what little I lost but had to get on a once a week shot for my type 2 diabetes and decided ENOUGH! so on 2/18/13 I started atkins and in 7 weeks have lost 18.8 lbs and feel GREAT and my blood sugars have dropped over 100! I am starting a Zumba class at work tonight to help move the scale along.. I see the Dr again on 4/25 I think he'll be surprised! my goal for this is 8.1 pounds putting me at 155 ..

Hi Michelle! And welcome!!

What a fantastic acchievement to have improved your blood sugars that much!!

I always have legs like pudding after these workouts.

I am sure you will see results! How annoying to have to work all that overtime. Days like that for soure really make workout more or less impossible!

Oh yeah, I am ALL about the guacamole!:love: Only problem is I can never stop at one serving!:scared1:

I've also been trying to spray more olive oil on things like sandwiches or pasta. I'm currently working my way through just about every brand of EVOO I can find to see which one has the best flavor. :stir:

I've decided, as much as I HATE to work out to DVD's, that I'll be substituting running with my TapOut XT, WiiFit NFL Workout, some other WiiFit workout DVD that I can't remember the name of, and one of the Beach Body DVD's. Maybe if I stick to it for a while, I may come to have more of a love/hate relationship with them inside of just straight out despising them!::yes::

QUOTD Monday April 1 :

How do you deal with extra appetite from exercising?

Wanting to eat more with exercising is a tough thing to work through for sure. I look at how many calories (or points) I burned. You never burn as many calories as you think you did. Chocolate milk after an exercise session is supposed to be a good recovery drink and help give your body the nutrients it needs after a work out. Here is a link to an article from Fitness Magazine if anyone is interested http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/recipes/healthy-eating/superfoods/chocolate-milk-after-workout/

Glad that the kitties are doing well! :cat:

Jill, sorry about the snow. :hug:

Buffy, glad that you may be able to heal without the ortho. I know it's tough to be patient but you have lots of time before Princesspalooza! princess: Let your body heal. :flower3:

Kim, sorry that you have to take a running hiatus. You know if you do some of those exercise DVDs that you will burn some extra calories moving your sweet dog off of you cause if you are working out she will want to be there for you. ;)

Did day one of 30 day shred today, now to stay motivated for the remaining 29 days

Great job! :thumbsup2

A lot of people had a tough March -- not just on our threads but everywhere. You can do it! :flower3:

Have a great day all! :goodvibes

Morning all and HAPPY Tuesday! Life has suddenly gotten exponentially busier and crazier for this week, so I am skipping my talk and chat time this morning in order to get the last of March's results posted. If possible, I will find some chat time tonight.

Miss talking with you all, but life has gotten in the way for now! TTYL......P

ETA: Page one of the March challenge is caught up. Here is a last reminder if you still want to send in a weight for March!!

I will would go with guacamole, love that stuff! But I too find it difficult to stop at one serving :upsidedow So I am gonna say almonds! I buy the big canister at Costco and divide them into 1 oz servings in snack size baggies and keep a bunch in my car and my desk for a good go-to snack :thumbsup2:

Good luck with getting back into your WISH maintenance range!

Thanks! And actually - Graze does deliver in the US, but I see you're in Germany! I'm not sure what their plans are for Europe. In the US now, you can only join by invitation, and the invite code must do something different than the regular UK site. I have loads of invite codes - PM me if you want to try and get through!

I'm *so* there with the guacamole. And salmon. And hummus, although that's not too bad. Cheese, too. Dried cranberries (and other fruits...). I'm getting really hungry!

I had a lunch date with a friend today at our favorite sushi place, but she's under the weather. So I'm on my own, and I'm in the city...I think I'm going to autopilot myself over to Subway. If I go to the university food court, or Whole Foods, or even Sweetgreen or Roti, I'll just end up piling on things that aren't on plan. Bonus - the Subway is a couple of blocks away, so I'll get an extra walk! I just wish it was warmer - we're 20 degrees cooler than yesterday. Wrong direction, Mother Nature!

I hope everyone's having a great Tuesday (oxymoron in my book, but there you go)!

XO
Liz

Hi and thanks it feels great to know I've done that for myself.. and I expect pudding legs after my first Zumba class in a few month!

Hi back at ya! I missed being here! (and accountable!)

Lisa -The poor Wonder Mutt accidentally got kicked really hard the first time I worked out inside. I felt SOOOOOO bad!!!:sad::sad: She was just so curious as to what Mommy was doing, and I didn't see her behind me. Next thing you know, WHAM! I blew off the rest of the workout and just hugged her and gave her belly rubs for the next half hour. And you know those mutts, all is forgiven after about 10 seconds! :love:

The next time I went to work out inside, I think she remembered and wouldn't come anywhere near me, even when I called to her. And she almost always comes to me when I call her. At least I don't have to worry about accidentally whacking her again!:scared1:

Our tiki hut is finished except for the wiring, so I'll probably just take it outside. She's more interested in sniffing around anyway, so I won't need to be concerned with anymore accidental contact.:worried:

I'm in again for April. I took March off because I knew it would not be good. Busy with work and DH had shoulder surgery. Hoping to be more active on here but I will be at least reading along.

Poor baby! And poor you! I'm sure it was harder on you than it was on her. :hug:

Hi Reenie! :wave2: Nice to see you! :flower3:

My favorite healthy snack is salsa! Trader Joe's makes a really really yummy one that makes me want to cross border shop every week instead of my usual every month. It's zero WW points - I just need to come up with something besides potatoes or nachos to have with it so I'm not having a ton of carbs with it and negating the zero point factor!

Well, after 12 weeks, 29lbs off and healthy eating, I think I''m finally beginning to see a difference.

QOTD - My fave snack is those olives stuffed with almonds......only trouble is I could eat a whole tub.......same goes for peanut butter, especially if it's the good stuff from Whole Foods........good job my nearest Whole Foods is 200 miles away!!!!

My favorite healthy fat snack is nuts. I just have to remember to portion control & not eat them out of the jar or can :)

When I work out in my living room, my dog wants to be right next to me. I've kicked her quite a few times & she just never learns :confused3 I think she wants to join me and get exercise!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a busy day today and tomorrow. DH had to go out of town, so I have to leave work early to get DSs from school. Today, I'm going to try to squeeze in a workout at home while they do homework, then make dinner, and finally take DSs to swimming. We'll get home at 8:00 and they'll get ready for bed. I'm also not feeling that great, so I hope I get some good sleep and wake up refreshed. I just haven't been sleeping good.
So, work is not better today. 3 out of my 4 classes were great. And, the other wasn't great because of the aide again :( But, one of the 3 people who run the company quit over the weekend so, I'm hoping it'll get better. She was the main problem and I think the other 2 bosses work well together, so I'm hoping for some positive changes. They are having a staff meeting Thursday (we are a nonprofit so they are having a board meeting tomorrow as well), so I am hoping for some answers. I am going to remain positive and hope for the best! I am hoping my stress level will go down and I can concentrate on my health again.
Well, my day is almost over since I'm heading out a bit early. I don't think I'll have time to post again today, but I will try to read up while I sit a swimming tonight.
Have a great day.
Jill
The TJs here sells carb cutting tortillas (brand is sonoma I think)! Only 60 cals, 4 net carbs, and 7 gs fiber! I :love: them! Sprinkle with a bit of cheese, toast up and enjoy with salsa :)
