We are arriving Saturday, April 27th. We aren't starting the parks until the next day. Just curious of what there is to do at downtown Disney with a 3,5,&8 year old boys. Also, can someone give me a suggestion for their favorite place to dine:). Thanks!!

We didn't spend too much time at DD, but my ds loved the lego store. You can sit and relax for a bit while the boys play.

We only ate at Rainforest Cafe, which is a pretty neat experience and we really enjoyed it. I know reviews weren't that great for it, but our food and service was great. If your boys are into dinosaurs, they would probably love TRex, but it's very loud from what I've been told.

Disney Store, walk around from Marketplace to Westside, and dine at Wolfang Puck express at marketplace it´s unexpensive and great food :thumbsup2

For boys that age, you probably can't go wrong visiting the Lego store (although be prepared to fork over some bucks, as I have never been able to get out of there without my son buying at least one thing). There are Lego play stations in and outside of the store.

My DS (7) also liked making his own lightsaber at Once Upon a Toy.

DS would choose T-Rex if the restaurant was up to him, although my nephew was afraid of it for some reason. Personally, I prefer the Rainforest Cafe. Although if I was going without any kids, my first choice would be Raglan Road.

Edited to add: Not sure what the weather will be like then, but if it is hot, there is a small water splash area in Downtown that my children love running through.....pop up fountain spurts. And we usually always have an ice cream at Ghiaradelli's.

And don't forget that you can ride the boats-there are 3 stops. It's really pleasant and pretty at night. The boys will think they are already in one of the parks! LOL!

The restaurants will be pretty busy on a Saturday night. You can't go wrong at either of the WPE. Great kids meals!

There is the Goofy Candy Company, if you want to take them for a special treat, they make so many custom combination treats. There is a small carousel in that area. Also, there are the shops, World of Disney, The Lego store, etc. There is the AMC movie theater.

There is Cookes of Dublin or Earl of Sandwich, which are both really good counter service places if you want to keep it simple. Or there is the T-Rex cafe, which I'm sure kids love.

As others have said. Lego store. Trex is awesome. RFC is good too! Want to bowl. Splitsville is a great place for food, drinks and bowling. Maybe there will be a movie you all will want to see. The theater is great and you can have food served right at your seats. SO much to do at DTD. Enjoy!!
