September 29,2013 - DVC Member Cruise

Just a quick update

Looks like Iron Man Mark is headed back to WDW for his 2nd Disney College Program. he's been accepted in QSFB for Fall Advantage May 28 - Jan 3.

This comes right after he'd just been hired by Aramark to work concessions at the Phillies games in Citizens Bank Park this season.

Wish I had his choices!!!

He's on our cruise so time off will be a factor. I guess that will all be worked out. He wants to take his old pickup which I'm not sure will survive the drive so the plan is to hitch a ride on the autotrain and head down. JQ and I are hoping to tag along. We'll see.

:confused3. What is QSFB ?

Quick service food and beverage. It's a job classification for the CM's who work in food service positions other than restaurants. On his last tour Mark worked at the All Star Music food court. He is hoping to get placed in a park this time around.

Hi Lisa. I was just going to get a car from happy limo but i can look into the limo. We did it once and the boys loved it.

Hi Nat,
I got your private message, but I can not respond to it because I am new to this and I don't have the ability to reply to any private messages. I also sent you a message on your FB account, but that message got dumped into the "other" mailbox so I don't know if you have seen that either. Can you try to respond to my facebook message. Thanks.
Lisa

Good morning,

I have gotten inquiries about adding a bus drop-off at the airport on our way back to WDW after the cruise, since we pass right by it on our way to WDW. I checked into it and the surcharge would be $40.00 split between all passengers using this stop. Right now there are 8 available seats and 2 people interested in the MCO stop. If 6 more join the surcharge would only be $5/seat. Please let me know if you are interested ASAP.

We are currently scheduled for a 9am pick up time at the port but I was thinking that 8:30am would work better. Let me know what you think.

mdwoodman,
Could you double check for people interested in the cabin crawl. I believe someone may have posted on the FE thread for the cabin crawl.

So after yet another hiatus from the boards (I was in a Lenten/Easter play in a local community theater) I am FINALLY back to planning! And finally back to the Dis boards. This week I got my pre-cruise WDW stay booked (WAHOO!) and now the Hubby and I need to decide if we are going to book a dinner reservation for the Friday we plan to be in MK.

Oh - and I needed to figure out how to get us back to the airport post-cruise. So the long and short of it is, JQ - I'm in for a return trip with a drop-off at the airport. ;)

Glad to be back and finally finishing my plan for Disney!! :-D

First Disney Cruise for us, confused by this.....Where do the Disney buses bring people on the morning we come back to Port Canaveral? Are there several buses? Or one bus with multiple stops like the airport or the resorts?
Thanks, Deb

Hi JQ,
I just want to confirm that I would like 2 seats back to MCO also. I know you have been communicating with my sister. My flight isn't until later in the afternoon, so if the bus has to make us the last stop... that is okay with me. (My son will enjoy the ride and get to see WDW too). Thank you.

Sounds good IndigoLiquid,
I'll hold 2 seats for you guys and add the MCO stop to the reservation.

Sajustin2,
Welcome, unfortunately the airport has to be the first stop from the port as it's on the way to WDW. I'll hold 2 seats for you.

Thanks

The Disney buses take you right to your resort or the airport. They run seperately. The cost is $35.00 each way/person. Our bus is a private charter for our group and is stopping at the airport and 4 resorts. The price is $12.51/person. If you want the airport stop there is a surcharge of $40.00 to be split by the passengers using that stop. Right now we have 4 seats left on this bus. The bus to the port is sold out. Let me know if you would like to hop a ride with us.

Yes, Phil Hutchings said that they would like to join. No more info than that.
