Now for an update from a new live reporter who arrived at Disney World yesterday, KMarston.


She said, "Last night we had dinner at Downtown Disney's..."

"It was the first time for all of us!"

"Chris had the Gigantosaurus Burger - A true carnivore's delight. A second 100% beef patty added to the Bronto Burger with your choice of cheese. He added bacon!"

We still can't believe he ate the whole thing! This thing was colossal! Best Burger he has ever had! (as are most burgers)"

"I had the Mammoth Mushroom Ravioli - Walk on the "wild" side with our massive mushroom ravioli simmered in a rich lobster cream sauce with roma tomatoes and fresh spinach for $18.59."

"I really enjoyed this. I love mushrooms and the sauce wasn't too rich or over powering!"

"Jimmy had the Boneyard Buffet - Fire-roasted Rotisserie Chicken and Mega Mes-O-Bones served with waffle fries and your choice of one of the following sides: garlic mashed potatoes, Raptor rice, baked beans, cinnamon apples, cole slaw or roasted vegetables for $27.99."

"We were obviously hungry! The ribs were falling off the bone and he loved the chicken as well! It also came with a side of baked beans which somehow escaped the picture!"

"Tiny Mite had the Tyrannosaurus T-Bone - Charbroiled certifed Angus Beef T-bone steak topped with steak butter and served with red skinned garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables for $32.99.

"She also added the cinnamon apples! And you guessed it! She hate the whole thing! I told you we were starving!"

This is bordering on ridiculous, but since dessert is included, the kids had to try the Chocolate Extinction - A gigantic portion of chocolate fudge cake served with ice cream, fresh whipped cream drizzled with fudge and caramel sauces and sprinkled with Butterfinger crumbs. Enough for two or more. $15.99.

"And while we put a dent in it, I'm happy to say we did not finish it! It was good, everyone agreed that it would have been better if the cake had been warm!"

On the way to WDW, we stopped off at a favorite of the kids …Waffle House."

"We arrived at Bay Lake Tower around 10 AM and our room was miraculously ready !! YAY !!

DD wanted to go to DTD, so we went over there for some shopping and we ate lunch at our old standby..."

"DH and I split the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf and as always it was delicious."

"DD got a brownie..."

"After some shopping we headed back to the resort for some pool time. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio we brought from home."

"For dinner, we had an ADR at..."

"Looks like veggies, roast beef, potatoes and some horseradish sauce. He also go a birthday cupcake."





"I had some mini-cheesecakes for dessert and they had a little Easter theme going on that I thought was cute."

"Overall, we enjoyed Chef Mickey’s and left stuffed.

She said, "We left chilly Baltimore for SUNNY Orlando this morning. We had lunch at..."

"DD had the Beef Nachos. She liked them ok, said they were cold."

"DH and I shared the Beef Burrito. It also was just ok."

"DS Josh ate his entire cheese quesadillas meal and ate my cookies and cream gelato.
I had a taste and it was good and light."





"Then we ate dinner tonight at..."

"The food and service were top notch. Bruce was our waiter, he was spectacular!
Our table was on the 3rd tier but we saw the fish and turtles enough."

"The bread was good, soft and warm."

Appetizer for Two - Crab Cakes with tropical fruit salsa, tequila aioli; Crispy-fried shrimp with Coral Reef Slaw and spiced remoulade; and a taste of our Creamy Lobster Soup


"We all shared the Appetizer for Two and it was fantastic. Shrimp, crab, and lobster bisque...I can't choose a favorite."

Grilled Mahi Mahi with Laughing Bird Shrimp, Hearts of Palm, Jasmine Rice, Cilantro, and a Coconut-Lime Sauce


"I had the Mahi Mahi, it was very good. The fish was cooked perfectly, moist and tender. DH had the Pan-seared Sustainable Catch of the Day. It was Striped Bass, which is what we call Rock Fish in Maryland. It was equally good.
Jon enjoyed it and cleaned his plate."

"Poor baby boy Josh couldn't decide so he was talked into a Cheese Pizza. It was puny and ridiculous. He didn't eat it.
I gave him some steak off of Kaiti's plate and he ate that."

I was going through my email and discovered that I had overlooked the first update sent to us by KMarston on Saturday, her arrival date. My apologies, Kayleigh!


She said, "Hi Barb! Hope you're enjoying your last day! It's our first day and we are so excited!"

"A quick introduction. There are four of us. Me, Kayleigh, dear husband Jimmy, dear son Chris (15) and our niece Carla ( 15) who came to live with us a year ago. Our trip was planned for Carla who was going to be moving back with her mother as a farewell trip, BUT it turns out that it's a celebration of her staying at least another year! this will be our first time using the DDP."

"We stopped to checking early at our resort this morning for our KTTK cards and it turned out our room was ready at 8:00 am! How's that for Pixie Dust!"

"I'm afraid our first dining review isn't all that exciting! Counter Service from Blizzard Beach!!!"

"Three of us ordered 1/3lb Bacon Double Cheeseburger served with apple slices or french fries - $8.79. It was filling! Nothing special, but the kids liked the fries!"

"This is Chris with his Bacon Double Cheeseburger and Chocolate Cake for dessert! Christopher thought the cake was awesome, especially the Mickey sprinkles! I have to tell you he's never met a piece of chocolate cake he didn't like."





"This is Carla's Grilled Chicken Sandwich with lettuce and tomato..."

Kayleigh said, "Last night we visited our favorite WDW restaurant...

"We love the atmosphere and it's always a must do for us! I've read mixed reviews lately and while it was really good and we left stuffed and happy, I have to say our dinner was quite rushed! Our salad arrived before our drink order was taken! We slowed it down once the food started coming and ordered coffee with our dessert. Otherwise I think we might have been out of there in 25 minutes!"

She said, "Saturday we had breakfast at Kona Café. We had the 100% Kona coffee pot and we both had the Tonga toast with sausages. We both like it even if it's on the sweet side. It's one of our musts every trip! My DH also bought a bag of whole Kona beans for home."​
