Winter is coming...

Do you mean the temps are dropping ? Here they drop on Monday

:rotfl2: Yeah this winter seems to be sticking around.

I believe the OP is actually referring to season 3 of HBO's Game of Thrones.
Yes I am looking forward to it to!:thumbsup2

No, I mean the season premier of Game of Thrones, "winter is coming" is the catch phrase.

I thought it was an April Fool's joke. I think I'd take the bridge if spring wasn't coming, no more winter!

Can't wait! I've been anxiously waiting to see how "A Storm of Swords" is handled for Season 3!

who all you like best in the series ? I like the Dwarf (is that the political correct term)

Friends are going to come over tomorrow. I got the Game of Thrones recipe book so I am going to try some meals tomorrow!!

Yes--very excited! Not sure if I want to watch it all in one sitting at the end of the season, or every Sunday. (Who am I kidding--I'll be watching weekly).

The recipe book recipes used to all be online. We make "Sister's Stew," a fish and crab chowder seasoned with saffron, frequently. I have probably 30 pounds of halibut in the freezer since I love to fish. That or beer battered are about the only way DS15 will eat it

Also, one of the best things about living in Alaska is saying "winter is coming" in the fall. DS and I try to get that to come out naturally in conversation. Also "the North remembers," which is a lot more difficult to interject into conversations. :p

I will be watching. This season will only cover 1/3 of book 3. It was my favorite book so I'm excited.

I can't wait! I love that show. Khaleesi is my favorite and I can't wait to see her dragons.

I'm excited!! Hard to pick a favorite, but I like Sansa and Brienne of Tarth a lot for females, both in the books and on-screen. I think they are very realistic and sympathetic characters. I like Dany on the show. In the books I think she's spoiled and almost as bad as her brother with that "I am the dragon" stuff.

I've always liked Robb and the actor they chose really exudes the kind of charisma Robb would need to pull off the King in the North.

Theon is um.. not my fave, but he's probably one of the most compelling characters and Alfie Allen is fantastic in that role.

I guess my top favorite would be Tyrion. He is definitely the smartest and the funniest. I also think he has better intentions than many of the characters.

I love Tyrion's wit and Arya's courage. They, along with Davos are my favourites (Also love Theon...I keep thinking he is going to somehow redeem himself).
I personally cannot stand the Jon Snow or Dany or Bran chapters...zzz..they put me to sleep.

I cannot wait. I feel like I've been in a count down for a year (I got into the series last April and then re-watched it in January/February with my husband). Tomorrow is exciting!!!!! :)

Winter is actually getting closer here. Temps are dropping and its actually quite chilly outside. And no, I'm not excited. :)

Can't wait! We switched to Direct TV last August and watched seasons 1 and 2 during a free 3 month trial of HBO. We dropped it, but after talking about it, decided to get HBO so we wouldn't miss season 3!
