We are staying at POR for our upcoming trip on the Military discount. As a result we have to get to Shades of Green to get our 10 day tickets. We've done this before so I understand how to navigate the busses and so forth but I was just wondering if the resorts had any sort of shuttle service that would take us directly to at least to the Poly. The last time we did this we were staying at the Poly so it wasn't really a big deal to get over there. No big deal if they don't, I just didn't want to waste all that time on transit. Thanks!:goodvibes

No, they don't. They can call you a taxi if you need to get there sooner.

There are no shuttles to the resorts, just the parks. You can take the bus from POR you could take the bus to the MK, go to the Poly and then to SOG. Or you could take a cab from the POR to SOG

I think it is better to say there is only one option for resort to resort shuttle and that is DTD. But service is spotty in the morning, because the buses are sent to the parks and dead-headed to DTD as they see is needed.

Best to take a taxi.

When are you going? If it's September maybe I'll be there and I would happily give you a lift.

Actually the best option for resort-to-resort trips generally is to go to a park and transfer there. DTD will work but in most cases would be my last choice and one I would use only if the parks all were closed.

SOG is a different case, however, but if you want to use Disney transportation the PPs plan to get to the Poly via the MK probably is the best option. I agree that a cab will be quicker by far in this case.

Seriously, if they would put an option to pay one more dollar per transaction when you buy a park ticket or book a resort and have that dollar fund SOG perks (like shuttle service) I think they could support a decent budget that way.

My favorite route is to take a bus to the MK, and a boat to the Poly, then across the street to Shades. It is just a beautiful WE ARE AT DISNEY! kinda ride.

If you've never stayed at SoG, there are a few things to keep in mind if you are trying to hop one of their buses. First- they run on a set schedule, so maybe get the schedule beforehand. That way you'll know if you just missed it or you will be in for a looooooong wait. Also, they don't have a direct bus from the MK, just to the TTC so don't look for the bus stop at the MK, you won't find it. lol!

While I agree that a taxi is easiest/most direct, they do not have to go to DTD - they can use any park as a transfer point. The only time that DTD is the only option is late evening if there are no parks open.

You could take the park bus from POR to Epcot then get the monorail to the TTC and walk over to SOG from TTC or cab as another option.
You could just hop which bus comes first, Epcot or MK.

Ok, thanks everyone for the great advice! Thanks to a previous poster to offer a ride, but alas, we will be there in June. We might think about a taxi. Anyone have any sort of estimate as far as what a taxi would cost? I've never used on on Disney property so I have no idea.
