Dream Room Category Size Question

I can't seem to find an answer anywhere so hopefully someone can help me out. It shows the deluxe family stateroom with verandah at 299 square feet including the verandah. The oceanview with verandah shows 246 square feet. Every room description I find explains them as being exactly the same. Where is the extra 53 square feet? Thanks in advance for your help.

Both have verandas at 43sqft. Family inside sqft is 256 sqft, standard(deluxe) veranda inside sqft is 203sqft.

The extra space is by the slider. Some of these deeper rooms have a murphy bed in this extra 53 sqft, others a chair.

We're in cabin 5446 which is 04E with an oversized verandah but I can't find anywhere that says how much space we lose inside - do you know? When you click on 5446 from the link you posted it states that it may not be the actual room but the average or something like that.

Did you mean cabin 5546? You don't loose space to anything except the DCL despcrition. :lmao: Unless you are comparing the interior space to the family cat 4's then you do have 53 sqft less.

The non HA 4e's have the same interior space as the standard(deluxe) verandas, 203 sqft. The verandas must be three times the size as standard balconies???

Did you see these photos of the 4e balconies from above?

If you have 5546 you have one of these discussed here(with myself :rotfl:) with the curved balcony railing, which I suspect lack veranda connections on one side.

Thanks for the links - I couldn't see them on my phone the first time and then forgot about the thread. I just looked again now and the verandah actually looks a little smaller than the other ones?

Oh and yes you are correct it's 5546

Great observation. :thumbsup2

Your right, the 4e extended verandas, located where the bump outs end for the veranda extensions, and where the outer skin starts, are bit smaller than the cabins not at the end of these.

This gap occurs twice forward every 6 cabins and once aft. Times two if you count both sides of ship. ;)

The balconies with the curved rails are the ones with a bit less sqft.
These include 5532/5534, 5544/5546, 5656/5658, and of course their sisters port side.

These said pairs also have less length/depth to the veranda partition, perhaps making them less private, however appear to offer improved view.

I always was curious if said veranda pairs connected thru the partition. :confused3
Never heard back from anyone.
