Both buyer and seller sent signed documents back to the closing company. On Tuesday the closing co said they received both..so when will my contract be officially closed? And when will I receive the member number?

I would call the closing company since they know Disney's current time line. We can guess based on other closings but it just a guess.

From start to finish the process now takes an average of about 75 days.

I want to get a 2 bedroom at my home resort(boardwalk) for the end of oct or beginning of November... What r my chances? For 4 nights...

You are really looking at a popular time. Halloween, F&W, there's a marathon weekend, and Jersey week are all in there. I don't think your chances are very good at all. However, as in all things, I could be wrong. Once you can book, book what you can, maybe SSR and waitlist what you want. Or, if a day or two is available at BWV, book them and you can have 2 waitlists for other days.

My extended family wants to participate in the F&W race weekend, I booked AKV, we were still in the home resort period, and nothing was available in a 2 bedroom at BWV.

After nov 11 is fine to..I'm just concerned about the weather..is it swimming weather? My kids are 2 and 3 and pool time is a mid day life saver.lol...I was hoping for boardwalk because it will be my first dvc trip and I want to see where I bought. Lol yes I bought somewhere I never stayed...but always wanted to. :)

We just closed not long ago. Here was our timeline:
1/19-1/20- Made offer and negotiated
1/21- contract e-mailed and signed and sent back with deposit
1/22- contract sent to ROFR
2/20- passed ROFR
2/27- closing docs received, signed and overnighted back with final payment
2/28- our docs and payment received by closing company
3/8- deed recorded on orange county website (I did not look this up until 3/18 though)
3/11- notified by broker that we closed
3/19- see AKV showing up on DVCmember.com under our existing membership (HH Aug UY) in the morning and w/in a few hours points were loaded. We booked a Xmas trip by 3pm (2BR and studio at AKV-Kadani).

So 60 days for existing owners and 75 for new if everyone cooperates.

Thanks for asking this...we are currently waiting for the sellers to send in the closing documents...I wish they would move as fast as I did!

I knew the process of buying resale would take a long time, but I find it so hard to be patient!!!! We passed ROFR on 3/12 and STILL don't have a contract from the title company. I have a ton of money just SITTING IN MY BANK!!!!! Doesn't anybody want it? (that was a rhetorical question, of course) I also want to know "When will I close?" Just trying to be patient.......... And yes, I have contacted my broker, but still waiting to hear where my contract is right now..........

Still, totally worth the stress knowing I saved SO MUCH MONEY buying resale -- I tell myself that often these days.

You should have received your closing docs by now.
