When was the Poly renovated? What all was done?

It is undergoing renovations currently. The Hawaii building is completed I think. I've seen pictures of the new rooms but haven't heard much about the lounge other than new carpet. Curious if the food has remained the same... If Joffrey coffee is there... Any changes!

I'm sure this has been asked before but couldn't find it under search.

Does anyone who has stayed at BWI CL recently know if they keep the lounge doors open after 10?

When we were at BC last year they kept the doors open and we loved being able to stop by after parks to grab a hot coffee or tea, soda, some swedish fish, etc.

Will be very interested in seeing the rooms after the renovation.

There's a bunch of photos floating around -- someone stayed in the Hawaii building right when it opened after the refub -- and the photos are on here. There are also some on Tikiman's website. IMO they are very different from the previous decor, and even the bathrooms were completely rehabbed.

Hi all, I am considering upgrading us to CL for our trip in June... we have had a rough few months and DH could use a surprise pick me up.

We've only stayed CL once before, but it was a deluxe room so the view was outstanding. From what I can see on the WL thread, it looks like a majority of the WL CL rooms have a balcony that looks down at the parking lot or truck area. Can anyone confirm? I don't want to spend all that $ to upgrade to a worse view. Thanks!

Request a CL room with a "view of the Inner Courtyard ans Silver Springs" and I think you will be quite happy!

Thanks! I have been looking at the bad-room-view thread and was getting worried! If we upgrade, I'll be sure to put in the request.

Just stayed RPC earlier this month. The food offerings were very nice. The liquors were all dark, but the wine and Champagne were equally mixed and very tasty:rolleyes1. Some of the staff were very pleasant and did everything to make you feel at home. Some of the hospitality staff like Patty, were a hit or miss(she only spoke if she liked you:rolleyes:).

Breakfast had lots to choose from. It ranged from 3 different cereals, muffins, pastries, 3 kinds of yogurt, ham, turkey, croissants, bagels, hot oatmeal with all the sides you could imagine, fruit, sliced cheese, spreadable cheese and different juices.

Lunch/snack were things like homemade chips, pretzels, cheese, cupcakes, grilled zucchini and squash, crackers, dips, carrot and celery sticks, grape tomatoes. lots of soda, water

Hot appetizers rotated nightly with things like Pinatas, fried raviolis, bacon wrapped chicken, Dur-kin chicken strips on a stick, fruits, wine, liquors, beer ( dos equis, Heineken, yuengling, Sam Adams) All you can drink:drinking1

Desserts were mini cheesecake tarts, fresh fruit tarts, custard, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, scones, chocolate covered cookies :goodvibes

*they will even provide you with a tray to carry everything back to your suite:rolleyes1

We were on the floor known as the "VIP" floor. It required that we used the Gold internal elevators "service" elevators and not accessible by other guest from the main club level elevators( you had to go up to go down if you wanted to use main elevators). I loved having the back entrance to enter our room. The elevator allowed us to access GIG from the side and return privately in the same manner. We met a lot of staff and they were all pleasant. I joked to my husband about how much our floor smelled like recently minted/pressed money as we walked through the halls:lmao:, he agreed but only to point our that it was OUR money that scented the air:laughing:. There were only 7 other rooms on our floor too, it was very private and quiet:love:

The Concierge guest staff were awesome, Janice assisted us a lot and she even sent someone out to purchase a charger for our battery after it was misplaced:goodvibes. I can't wait till we head back in May :woohoo:

WOW that sounds so outstanding. I can't wait to hear about your May trip too. If it was me I would be doing the princess wave eveytime I would get off the elevator:wave2: just to make me feel extra special:rotfl:

What do people think of GF RPC? I've read good things, namely the food selection and service.

I am anxiously awaiting my visit in June, for my honeymoon!

GF RPC is amazing!!! The food offerings are great, the lounge is spacious with plenty of seating, the views from the lounge are beautiful, and the CMs are top notch and some of the best :thumbsup2. I love having my coffee while sitting in the lounge early in the morning. My favorite view is overlooking the courtyard pool first thing in the morning as it's very peaceful that early in the morning. Have a great honeymoon....you are going to love RPC :goodvibes.

I'm about 45 days out from our stay at the CR. I filled out the questionnaire when they first sent it, then followed up with emails when we confirmed out travel information. I asked the IPO to set up ME for us and she sent back an email that it was done (though that was over a month ago and we haven't received our ME paperwork yet). But I also received an email at 60 days asking me to send our travel info, etc. Is that just a standard email, or should I take it as a hint that somewhere our information isn't complete and I need to re-send it? I guess it can't ever hurt to re-send, but of course I'm lazy.

It's standard. I think when we stayed at GF, I received that email three times. I ended up politely suggesting to them that they either include a message in the email to disregard if you've already provided the info OR to update the email list so they're not sending it to people multiple times. :rolleyes2 Disney is so proficient at so many things, but anything web-based they're lacking.

I guess no one wants to share with us. Trishadono are you still going at the start of April??? If you still are you are going to have to take good pictures and let us know all the food and drink options out now :thumbsup2

I will arrive 4/3 at CSR new business class and transfer to Poly 4/5 to 4/8. I only have an iphone camera but will see what I can do! I will try to take notes of what i saw offered when we wait in lines for rides etc. I have stayed at both of these resorts before but never club there. Only clubs at CR and GF SL. I loved CR lounge but SL not so much. The location of SL to pool and hot tub was good though since dd and I spent most time there anyways.

Hard to believe my baby is turning 18 :( and I am truly grateful my family letting us girls have this time together. We love F&W and this new offerings at Epcot look just as good. Dole whip with rum is a must!

I will be willing to check on most requests as long as doesnt take up too much of my time with my fav girl! :lovestruc So let me know if anyone needs anything!

I just got my ME paperwork for my resort at close to 30 days prior so you should get it soon.

I apologize in advance of this question as i know it gets asked a ton. But since the answers keep changing i was hoping to get an answer from somebody who has been to the Poly club recently... I am starting to think about some final details of my trip...and I am not sure what to do about water. Last time we were there we could get a glass bottle of water. This was fine for us as it would last us at night and then fill up our park water bottles. I don't even mind pitchers of filtered or bottled water but I really don't want water that tastes like Florida water. If that is what is being given out now I will order gallons to be delivered. Any recent insight?

abk96-The CL doors at the BWI open at 6:30am and promptly close at 10pm.

Oh thanks nascargirl. That's a little bit of a downer. I guess I will be making hot tea in my room late at night.

I'll just keep my room stocked with drinks and tea bags.
