its pretty much gone now, sun has been out !

was a no school day already which was good, they would of probably had a 2hour delay.
spring break starts 4/1


hey you snuck in an update.....food looks yummy! funny about the train wreck!

Hopefully warm weather will come your way soon so it can feel like spring.

The food was very good. I had to pick off some fat from the meat, but the collards were cooked to perfection as was the jalopeno cornbread.

Dh and JJ enjoyed sharing the brownie.

I had a taste of the lasagna, it was very tasty. Dh devoured it. He thought it was the same serving size as the F&W Festival's lasagna.

Thanks! It all comes together so nicely. I love watching as they begin setting it up. I was suprised to see 3 playgrounds this year, especially that the age of play is for 5 to 12 year olds.

Yesterday, Ashley Eckstein made an appearance at the Orlando Science Center. We had the opportunity to attend the 10:30am Q&A session and photo-op. More details to come after I finish the F&G Festival...Dole whips up next. Then BOG birthday dinner last Monday...then yesterday's M&G. It's been a funfilled 3 weeks!

JJ makes an amazing Super Hero and I am so glad I asked Sandra if it was possible to work a bit of magic...she is a wonderful lady and you know the RMH holds a special place in my heart...those children deserve any and all happiness they can get. NO donation to the cause is too small.

Praying JJ's feeling MUCH better today and it is his BEST DAY EVER!

Yes, RMH holds a special place in my family's hearts too. My cousin has had several stays there throughout her many surgeries. And I know you have stayed at a RMH as well through Lisa's surgeries too.

YUMMMMY I read about those a few months ago, sounds intriguing.
Yes, RMH holds a special place in my family's hearts too. My cousin has had several stays there throughout her many surgeries. And I know you have stayed at a RMH as well through Lisa's surgeries too.
It absolutely helps to have a friendly place to rest your head, that is certain!

I actually prefer the plain pineapple dole whip to the one with the spiced rum. The spiced rum was way too strong tasting until the dole whip melted. Then it had a wonderful flavor.

Be Our Guest​

This was a special dinner...our birthday dinners. I tried to get ADRs on our actual birthday, but that just didn't pan out. So this was just after our birthdays.

Our first stop was to guest services to pick up a birthday button for us and a celebrate button for JJ. He was celebrating 4 weeks seizure free. Next stop was to pick up SotmK cards. Then we were off to check out the Rapunzel bathroom area. Play a round of Sorcerers. Then off to an early dinner. Our ADR was for 4:50. It was 4pm and we checked in early and asked if any earlier seating was available. It was and we were seated in the ballroom right away.

Different from our last visit, several dessert carts were located throughout the dining room. We were free to explore and take pictures our server told us. So I was off trying to get pictures of the things that didn't turn out well for me last time.

I headed for the West Wing. JJ was still scared to death of it, so he and dh stayed seated at our table. I have yet to capture a good picture of the rose. This was the best so far though.

This was the worse. Don't use flash, the rose disappears and it may frighten The Beast.

This was all the light the servers had at their station in the West Wing. Very dark in there...which is the main reason JJ hates that room. Also the music and ambiance is more foreboding.

Despite the experience of venomhatch, dh decided to try the Cornish Hen. He enjoyed it and will get it again. He liked it better than the Ratatouille he had the first time we ate dinner there.

JJ got grilled chicken, broccoli and french fries. I had to remind him that the fries are fat. He wasted them last time because they were fat and salty, but this time he liked them.

I got the Shrimp and Scallops in a pastry puff. It was very good.

The Beast made a grand entrance as the first group of people were finishing their meals. He entered from the Rose Gallery. Walked through the Ballroom into the West Wing then proceeded to the study where he is available for a M&G. This was different from preview time too. There was no Beast M&G then.

I wish I could bottle up today and keep things the way they are at this moment. It was another best day ever. The weather was perfect, sunny and pleasant. In the shade it was a little cool, in the sun it was perfect. JJ walked and walked through most of Epcot. He did two different Easter Egg hunts and saw Mr. and Mrs. Bunny. He played at the Radiator Springs Playground and the Oz playground. His friend from his special needs theater troupe met us there. We are grateful and thankful for all today brought!!

LOVE JJ's cape!! Love all the flower and garden pics too! Glad JJ had a great time at the egg hunts. Trev thought it was pretty cool he gets to go to Disney all the time and had an egg hunt there! The kids loved their gifts! Thank you!! The girls thought the soaps were the coolest thing ever!!They weren't sure if they should use them or not because then they would "melt" away Trev loves the hats and they fit perfectly! Sorry our phone conversation got cut short. The kids were being pretty crazy outside... Especially the one that just got stitches

I didn't have tears to my eyes until I read your post. Thank you. We all so elated yesterday.

I wish Lisa would have been there and she could have gladly cut in. Can you see how awkward I felt?!

The grey stuff is a mousse with a hint of chocolate. I swore I could also taste anise, but dh didn't. The pearls on top are a cookie/crispy type crunch making it taste like cookies and cream. I just took a tiny taste because of my intolerance to chocolate.

Now the cupcakes were phenomenal!! The lemon is by far my favorite! I didn't dare taste the chocolate one. The strawberry is great, but the lemon is greater imho.

Yes, I'd replay yesterday over and over.

There was only one negative to the whole day and that was JJ just couldn't shake a thought. He had played his brother in a video game the night before. He ruined the game by getting angry and killing his brother's character and pulling his brother's hair. He later apologized to his brother, but he had trouble falling asleep because of the guilt he was carrying over it. Yesterday so many times at Epcot he asked how he can stop feeling the guilt. He said he can't stop thinking about what he did and what he should have done. We tried to help him. He prayed. He apologized to his brother again when we got home. But he is still carrying a heaven burden of guilt.

I was thinking maybe having him write it on paper and symbolically ripping up the paper and throwing it away? In fact, as I type this he just came up to me again saying that the guilt is haunting him. And he wishes he could replay the game with a different outcome. He said he's learned not to be mean when he plays with someone.

Feb 16th started Buddy Ball. We know he hasn't had any since around the start of BuddyBall. However, we are not sure the date of his last seizure as we didn't write it down on the calendar. We know it was a Wednesday. I think it was Feb 13, but it could have been Feb 20th?

Two months has been the longest he has ever gone seizure free since Father's Day 2010.

How fun that Jeremy is going to meet up with his teacher for a ride. It's great to have a teacher you love. Some of my greatest mentors growing up were my teachers. Even in adulthood I still kept in touch with some.

Did you find Jeremy's hero cape to take along? I hope so. Look forward to seeing pics. As you know from the pictures you already saw, JJ absolutely loved the super hero cape you sent him. Pictures up next!

We're back!!! Had a great time!! Had a special moment that brought ears to my eyes!! The true magic of Disney at it's best. Really thinking of trying to do a trip report again.

We did get to meet up with her and had a great time!! It is great when you find those special teacher's who hold a special place in your heart. That's awesome that you still keep in touch with some!!

We did find it but we kept forgetting it in the room!!! OOPS!!

Even though I had already seen the picture's more tears were brought to my eyes. I just love seeing the joy in his face and knowing how much he loves it!!!


You have been very busy!! Loved your pictures!! Really loved the BOG one's!!! Going to have to show those to my DD tomorrow since Belle is her favorite princess and I know she'd love to see some castle pictures. So happy you guys had a great birthday dinner!!
