Glad you found the cape, but bummer it was left behind. I have been carrying it around in my backpack. He's made a grand entrance or two here in town, but we've been forgetting to take it out of the bag when we are away. I had it with us at the Orlando Science Center when we met up with Ashley Eckstein and at Epcot on Monday.

I can't wait to hear about your special moment at Disneyland!! I say for the TR.

So glad it worked out with his teacher.

    Finally...A Star Wars Update

Here's some exciting news for Star Wars Clone Wars fans. Ashley Eckstein was at the Orlando Science Center on Saturday. The Orlando Science Center has this amazing Star Wars exhibit. Throughout this exhibit they have been having some wonderful Star Wars events in addition to the exhibit. Someone had told me they had attended Breakfast with the Bad Guys. This day we were there for a Q&A and M&G with photo-op afterwards. There are just so many unanswered questions about Clone Wars. It was great to sit in on one of the Q&A's.

(One of JJ's friends from his special needs theater went with us. She is 13 and is one of the helpers, her brother has Autism and is one of the actors. She was wonderful with JJ. Her brother had a Special Olympic event that day so he was fine not going with us. However, he and his mom met up with us on Monday at Epcot and his sister stayed home so the boys could have some time together.)

Traffic cooperated on our way to the science center. We arrived by 9:30, parked and were the first people in the Member line. There were already people in the regular line. JJ met a boy on vacation from Puerto Rico named Alejandro who was a huge Star Wars and Indiana Jones fan. There was a member of the 501st in line who gave both boys 2 of his trading cards! One card was of him individually and the other card was the member in a group shot. It was very cool!

We headed over to the Digital Theater where the Q&A was to be held, but we no sooner got in line and JJ had to visit the restroom. We got back to the digital theater and just hung out. We were the only people there for a few minutes. Then another family arrived wearing SWW shirts. Conversation got started as soon as JJ saw the shirts. He noticed the mom and daughter wearing a Her Universe shirt and told them the girl who made those shirts is his friend. I didn't realize he thought she hand makes each shirt.

This display was in the waiting area of the digital theater. I've always liked NBC. Especially the music.

Ashley arrived and I pointed her out to JJ. Before I knew it, he was out of line and in her arms. She asked how her skyguy was doing and he said good then got back in line with me.

While in line JJ also made friends with one of the science center employees. He told JJ there was another JJ who worked there.

There were 3 seats at the front of the theater and near the exit so we sat there. It was a very casual Q&A. People were free to enter and exit as they wished.

The other JJ is in this picture. She introduced Ashley to the audience.

JJ had a very difficult time keeping from crying during the Q&A. He is still very upset that Ahsoka left the jedi order and that Clone Wars has been cancelled. He collected himself by the end and asked a question. His question was what happened to Darth Maul? She said that she really isn't sure, and asked JJ what his theory was? He didn't hesitate to give his theory.

Somebody had asked her what her two favorite characters were. She answered R2D2 and Chewbacca. JJ was so excited because he had brought her gifts, a Chewbacca tissue box and soap he had made of R2D2, Han in carbonite, and Mickey Mouse.

He also gave her two tickets to his play. We thanked her again for suggesting theater classes for him. Theater has been lifechanging for him. So many benefits have come out of these classes. He is becoming more aware of his surroundings, becoming more confident in himself, becoming more imaginative, and the list goes on. She autographed pictures we had brought. One was JJ and her at SWW and the other was from Celebration VI. She also gave him one of the pictures she had and autographed that too. Then she posed for pics.

As we left the Digital Theater, the science center employee who JJ befriended also stopped for a picture.

We didn't go back for the other Q&A, instead we explored the science center.

Then joined a CSI lab demonstration

What a neat event! It looks like a really laid back atmosphere which I'm sure made it more enjoyable. It's neat how Ashley took the time to look at each of JJ's gifts to her. I'm sure that not all celebrities would have done that.

Yes, she is an amazing person and really goes out of her way for people. Her husband is the same. I can't say enough good things about them. They have been so nice and wonderful to our family. At Celebration, David went out of his way to stop by the kid's room to say hi to JJ. They are a very humble, caring, and compassionate couple.

It was a bummer that we kept forgetting them in the room but it's ok the kids still had a great time. It's fun watching the kids wear them just out and about. They get lots of attention and love it!!

Now I have to find the camera (I think it's in the van). I've unpacked but needed to take a break. My body hurts from all the walking we did!!! :rotfl2:

She's still down in DL and Jeremy asked if he could stay with them!!! But yeah that wasn't going to happen!!

How sweet of Ashley to take the time with JJ!! You can tell how much he enjoyed the time with her.

I'm sorry you had a migraine. That's really rough when they last so long. I'm glad you're better today.

Yes, finally today he did not mention about the guilt. Yesterday I had him tell me all the reasons he felt badly and wrote them on a piece of paper. Dh shredded the paper and we threw it away. I think the visualization of it being ripped and thrown away helped.

The cupcakes are small, you could probably eat two. If not, I saw another table have their cupcakes placed in "to go" boxes.

It's great that she remembers him. She didn't remember his name this time, but he never noticed. She called him her skyguy and he never noticed.

Oh! I hope it's in the van.

Cute that he asked if he could stay with them.

Yes, he really looks up to her and her husband both.

Good news and not so good news

The good news. Celebs for weekends 1 and 2 have been announced!

Weekend 1 - Ray Park and Jeremy Bulloch

Weekend 2 - Ray Park and Warwick Davis

    The not so good news...

Something is brewing with JJ. He is twitching quite a bit this morning. Last night his left hand kept getting tight fisted while his right was relaxed. Keeping an eye on him without getting him alarmed.

I didn't mention that our couch is not up against a wall and it tends to be a dropping point for my DH so when I was walking by his desk (which is near the couch) and looked down there it was. Thank goodness!!! Yes I did!! Plan on doing more this weekend sometime. Just not tonight after our busy day at our local theme park. First time I've ventured there just the kids and I!! Let's say it was crazy but we still had fun!!!

Hope JJ is ok ! I can't imagine how worried it makes you .. but glad to hear he is good so far today ! :thumbsup2

Still wondering how we might be able to sneak over to SWW even for just a few hours. We don't have hoppers but I am seriously considering adding them. Wonder if you can upgrade to hoppers mid-trip ? I know we don't need them the whole time.

Sounds like your birthday dinner was very nice. I love that Beast asked you to dance. :goodvibes

I am glad that you had such an amazing day with JJ and the egg hunts and such....I am sorry to hear that he was not having a great day yesterday. 4 weeks seizure free is so great! I wish for you all that it could last longer!

Looks like a fun time was had at the science center! I love the gifts that JJ brought for Ashley! So nice. That Chewbacca looks cute. :goodvibes

We think we figured out what's going on with JJ. It was time to get his medication refilled. The pharmacy is no longer carrying the same brand of generic for one of his meds. This is the medicine that when it was increased last time he had all kinds of seizures. I guess he is going through another adjustment. This time to a different brand.

We went to DHS today. It wasn't as busy there as I had expected. We went to check out the Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow. Also saw Beauty and the Beast, watched JTA, tried a PB&J milkshake, and went to Character Palooza!

JJ had to use the w/c today. He did walk some but he was too tired. He's been wanting to go back to bed since he woke up today. It's that medicine. But he'll adjust. It took about 2 weeks last time. Hopefully they'll keep the same generic brand in stock and we won't have to go through this again.

I understand about a dropping point.

That's great that you got to go to the local theme park. Glad you had fun.

I don't see why not? You'd think they would just pro-rate it? Do you have a travel agent? Maybe you can ask him/her.

Have you ever been to the F&G Festival? They need a run, huh?

Yes, very nice b-day dinner. I was embarrassed to dance. You can tell by my awkwardness.

Pictures to come of the Easter Spring Fling at Epcot. If you want a sneak peak, you can check out kennythepirate's blog. The pictures are there.

Even with the funky stuff going on from the brand switch, he still is doing ok. He knows he's a little off.

It was a very special day at the science center for him. Thanks, dh did the sewing. I did the glueing and JJ supervised.

Glad you figured out what was going on with JJ. Hope his adjustment improves.

Happy you guys still went to DHS and had a good time. Sorry he had to use the w/c more but at least you got to get out and have a good time.

We enjoy going to theme parks so I'm glad that we have one about 30 mins away and can have a great time!! Now just trying to figure out if I'll try bringing the kids by myself again!!

I hate to hear about the twitching and hand tightening. It sounds like you've got the problem figured out though.

    HAPPY EASTER!

Because my husband has a strong bad reaction to a particular brand of generic (Sandoz), our pharmacy knows not to give it to him. They will actually get it from another local (i.e. competing) pharmacy for him if all they have available is Sandoz. I would ask your pharmacist to stick to one brand of generic and not change.

Although we are all fed the line that all generics are the same, they are not. They use different fillers and they may deliver differently once in the body. Once you find a generic that works, stick with it, don't let the pharmacist switch you around. It truly is easy enough for them to pick up the phone and get what you need quickly from another local pharmacy.

I'm sorry JJ has had to go through this med change. I hope he straightens out quickly.
