What do you have in your resort room to eat, drink?

We drive so we pack a bag with lots of snacks and drinks, these are some of the things we like to keep handy in the room to eat or snack on during our vacation.

Case of water
Case of cokes or canned beverages
Cranberry juice/orange juice/V8 juice (individual bottles)
Shelf stable soy milk
Box of cereal
Granola
Peanuts or mixed nuts
Pretzels
Animal Craclers
Savory Crackers
Cookies
Tortilla chips
Salsa
Instant Oatmeal that comes in a microwaveable container (run water through the coffee pot to make this or go to the microwave in the hotel, whichever you prefer).
Bread
Ham or Trukey (for sandwiches)
Mustard/Mayo
Hard Cheese (blocks)
Bagels
Cream Cheese
Snack cakes

Keep in mind we don't take all of this every time, but these are general things we take to have in the room in case we want them. Since we drive anything we don't use we just take it back home with us.

We are DVC, usually in a 1bdrm so we order from gardengrocer.com and usually get

Chocolate Milk
Bottled water
Bread
PB & Jelly
Butter
Bagels
Goldfish
chips/salsa
fruit snacks
strawberries/apples
yogurt
Coke Zero
Ziplock baggies
Paper Plates
Diapers/Wipes

We've tried buying more to cook in the room but honestly i don't enjoy cooking on vacation and we'd rather go out so I don't waste the food or money.

We bring the same, but wanted to add that we ship a box down before we get there. It works out well since we fly. A big hit that I did last time was velevetta and rotel tomatoes with chilies. We stay in villas, so I just popped it into the microwave. The kids loved it with chips. I also packed some dry soup mixes - like Bear Creek. It was a nice dinner.

We used to bring sandwiches & tons of different snacks & one time a baked ham meal with side dishes..but over time we realized we were spending too much time & money on junk food from home. It was just getting out of hand.
These days we bring cereal & milk for breakfast. Drinks alone can save big bucks, our list includes: power aid, diet sprite, diet mountain dew, & water; beer & mixed drink supplies.

I have about a dozen food allergies and basically all snacks at Disney are off limits so I bring:

GF cocoa rice cereal
GF ric Krispy treats
GF cookies
GF/nut free popcorn
GF (and allergy friendly) bread
Fruit bowls and dried fruit (can't eat raw fruit)
Water
Gatorade (power aide has coconut oil...allergic to it)
GF and allergy friendly cake pops
Surf sweet gummy worms and gummy bears (GF, nut free, vegan, etc)

I think that's about it. We brought an entire suitcase worth of food for me last trip because we were not sure of the accomodations Ith the number of allergies I have but I ended up only eating like 1/4 of the food we brought so in June we will bring a lot less.

Last trip we stayed offsite in a one bedroom villa at Westlake Town Center and this trip will be in a one bedroom villa at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, so have a rental car and make a run to SuperWalmart or Publix. Items we like:

1/2 gallon orange juice
1/2 gallon milk
Dr Pepper
Mt Dew
wine coolers
Coffee
cereal
Pop Tarts
1/2 dozen eggs
bacon
bread
bagels
cream cheese
grapes
plums
oranges
berries
beef jerky
mixed nuts
baby carrots
chips
hummus
trail mix
pudding pacs

may pick up a bag of salad mix and a couple of potatoes and steaks or chops to cook on the outside grill one night and relax by the pool

we do a walmart trip the evening we arrive...wine :), water, vitamin water, beer, sodas and chips n dips. also bring potato chips & cadburys chocolate from home.

We'll also have the dining plan, but its nice to have a few things in for after parks to watch TV or sit on your balcony.

We always rent a car so we make a grocery stop on our first day unless we have a late arrival, in that case we use Garden Grocer.

Milk
Fruit, usually apples and bananas
Applesauce
Yoghurt
Cereal
Pop tarts
Pastries or doughnuts
Crackers or chips
Pepsi products for DH

Breakfast tends to be in our room.

Bottles of water

Bagel Thins or mini bagels and PB (my prefered breakfast)

Something crunchy usually chex mix or cheezits

Luna Bars or granola bars or Kbars (my backup breakfast)

VIA iced coffee packs

Milk

Fruit or nuts sometimes, but the other stuff almost always.

I also hit up Karmel Kruche or Goofy's for some candy or chocolate pretzels, etc to snack on.

Quoting myself to elaborate since folks are talking about how they get the food.

I brought drink stixs (sf lemonade), my VIA, my peanut butter packs and my mini bagels and luna bars in my suitcase with me.

Once in Orlando (I get a rental car) I made a walmart run for a case of water, a gallon of Distilled water, the cheezit's, and a few souvineers.

In the past I've also bought beer and milk and breakfast stuff, but I didn't buy beer this time, and already had stuff at home so didn't see reason to buy more when it didn't cost or take up much room to bring it with. I was also split staying so didn't want to have to schlep milk in between hotels.

I bought the milk at the resorts. (cost more buying by the quart but worked better for me) I also bought various candy/treats at the resort and speciality shops on site.

My friend who met me in Orlando brought oatmeal packs with her, and she shared the stuff I had.

I would say I could do without the walmart run except for the water. But since I prefer breakfast on the run, I really like bringing or buying items for the room.

My plan is bottled water, let each kid pick out a box of granola/energy bars, fruit snacks, whatever fruit looks good. I'm planning to pack some of that for the park in case someone loses it in a ride line.

We drive, so I throw some stuff in, then if we run out, we can just hop in the car and head to Publix or Wal-Mart. We normally keep - muffins for breakfast, granola bars, fruit snacks, a bag of Chex mix or chips, Diet Coke, Sprite, beer, rum, wine, whiskey, bottled water, and whatever other snacks we pick up along the way. The granola bars and fruit snacks can be thrown in for quick snacks in the park. When we've had condos with kitchens, we typically do more - bread and peanut butter, carrots and ranch, etc.

I buy the nesquik milks that don't need refrigerated. That way I can put just a few in at a time. I also bring the individual bowls of cereal and oatmeal to make so I don't have to bring bowls. (I just hope I remember spoons.) I also bring pop tarts and cereal bars, bagels and cream cheese, lunchables, sandwich stuff, etc. Dr. Pepper, water, koolaid packs.

Alcohol though!! That is brilliant. I will have to add that to my list!!!

On my solo trip I bought a reusable mug and a box of Enteman's cinnamon rolls.

Water, vitamin water zero, fruit, granola bars, Larabars, individual organic chocolate milks, oatmeal, Starbucks via, misc. crackers, Justin's individual almond butter packets...

Darn I-phone. It sent before I finished. Also bought a container of mixed fruit. The cinnamon rolls were from the resort shop and were about $7 but there were about 8 delicious sweet rolls and a bargain since with the fruit and coffee, they made breakfast for me all week.

I usually only take things that don't really need cups, bowls, or spoons. I just grabed a set of plastic utensils from the food court. I don't grab condiments, but I figure ice, plastic spoon, napkins, lids and the occasional use of the toaster is not taking too much advantage of WDW. :rotfl: Used cups from the room (mod stay) and took my extras with me when I hit the value. The values only give you flimsy plastic but the mod has sturdier cups that fit the coffee lids. Ice coffee in cup with lid and bagel/pb as I grabbed the bus and throw away the disposables as I enter the park. Quick and easy.

This last trip I actually did buy a reusable mug (on site 8 days figured if I would get my money's worth as little soda as I drink for that long of a stay), but I do not travel with it to the parks. I don't want to carry it around. I got the occasional coke or filled it with ice water at the resort in the afternoons and evenings or if I grabbed dinner or did laundry or hung out in the room.

Zone bars, low-sugar cereal, skim milk, diet Pepsi, water, coffee, bowls for the cereal. We do this at most hotels with a refrigerator, especially the water. But at Disney I really do like eating breakfast at the food court. Sometimes alone because I'm usually the first person up and i'm too excited just to lay in bed or wait for everyone else. I love reading a newspaper (now my Nook) while lingering over breakfast in a pretty place. For some reason, nothing says vacation to me and indulging in luxury like eating breakfast out on vacation. Probably cause I rarely eat breakfast out in Real Life.

garden grocer - we fly
case of water, cereal, milk, yogurt, fruit, chips + salsa, juice boxes
