Disney poncho or raincoat

We are going in May, Im worried about rain. The bigger kids I can buy the cheap ponchos but I can't find Disney ones that are toddler sized and are not beyond expensive. I hate to spend a ton of money on one just in case

Will you have a stroller? The best thing for those kids in strollers is the rain cover for the stroller. It rained every day that we were there in June and my 4 year old stayed dry in the stroller. They even get to keep their feet dry in there.

Honestly, I would buy some dollar store or Walmart ones (I prefer the Walmart ones; they come 2 to a pack and yet the pack is smaller than in our local dollar stores.)

Either cut them to the appropriate length or tie them.

You can buy them at the dollar store. If they are too long, just cut the bottom so they fit better. Have you tried on line? There are a lot of links that sell them. I have never bought any, but that may be a good option. We bring along our poncho's from our trip to Niagra Falls. They are good quality and came with our tickets when we were there.

I know this is funny, but when DS was little we would cut holes in a compactor bag. It fit perfectly and kept him completely dry.

When my kids were toddler/preschoolers they did not like poncho's at all so I just got regular raincoats for them. You can often find Disney styles in walmart target etc and they fold up almost as small as a poncho and into a ziplock bag. My kids were more comfortable, dryer and they got use outside of Disney !

I will also 2nd the recommendation of a rain cover for the stroller - it's a lifesaver! I bought one at babies r us and found it well worth the $ because of the fit and the air flow but others use poncho's and binder clips/clothespins!

A few years back we went to WDW in May and bout our kids Disney ponchos on ebay.

Get a rain cover for the stroller. We put the kids in the cheapies when they were really little by tying knots in the bottom.

I am searching for a mclaren rain cover but they r not available yet. I'm gonna try a umbrella stroller cover. Thank you all so much!!!

My ds was 2.5 on our last trip. My son wore a rain coat I ordered from amazon.com. My daughter was 9, but hates ponchos so she wore a rain jacket made of poncho material I got from Wal-Mart.

The jackets saw them through Tropical Storm Debby last June and are still free of wear or tear. They’ll be going on another trip in 2 months. Here is ds’ jacket and him in it.

He also had a rain cover for his stroller, but this kept him dry when he wasn’t in the stroller. Like when the wind from the storm blew the cover up and it got wet. Yeah, buying a different cover for this trip.

I purchased a Dora Poncho from Dollar General almost 3 years ago and it still works great for my daughter who is almost 9. She's small and is the size of a 6 yr old so we are getting use out of it.

I purchased a Mickey poncho from Kohls.com. I also got my stroller cover there. Waited until I had 30% off!
