Luggage tags - late room change

After our luggage tags arrived, our stateroom number changed. Do I just cross out the number that's listed and write the new, correct number on it with a sharpie? Please advise.

Exactly. Just cross out the old number and put the new.

Your luggage tags are scanned so the scan will have your correct information. But putting your new room number on the tag will help as well.

I ask for blank tags at the port and write the last name and room number.

On a previous cruise I had used the sharpy, later I found my bags at the other room door. Now I get blank tags.

So for someone who booked their cruise before departure date (Raising Hand!) we obviously won't get our info package in the mail in time with our tags. We'll just ask for tags when we get there and write our room number?

correct! They should tell you that you will not recieve paperwork if you talking with DCL directly. If you book on the website, it doesn't state anything about paperwork being mailed or not mailed.

Folks make a bigger deal than they do about the packet, but it us just because they don't know.
