So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Good Morning from Beach Club!!!

Yesterday was nice - the flight was quick, and I was in Epcot just minutes after leaving my carry-on in the room. Kay opted for a nap, and she needed to charge her phone, so she met me later in the afternoon in Epcot. I got two laps around World Showcase, but the bad knee is not taking things well already. Makes me sad, because I have a full list of things to do here! ::yes::

Kay decided to get a hopper, so we ended up going to Magic Kingdom for a while last night. Little Mermaid was a walk-on. I didn't even have time to take pictures as we scurried through the long queue and right onto the clam shells.

We ended the evening with conversation with Marc and Anita back at the room as a nice breeze came through the open balcony door and fireworks sounded in the background. Not a bad ending to any day, right? :)

I am going to go walk around to Boardwalk in a few minutes as the sun comes up. The plan is to open Animal Kingdom today.

Have a good day, all!

Not bad AT ALL!! :thumbsup2

Hope your knee is behaving!

They began the morning with breakfast at Cape May and then headed to Magic Kingdom where they've been playing ever since!

Back in the room for the night. Today's activities: Cape May for breakfast, then to Magic Kingdom for a ride on Barnstormer with Harper. Shopped around, watched the castle show, and saw Hall of Presidents and the flag retreat ceremony. Visited Poly and Grand Floridian. Walked plenty but made it a point to sit throughout the day in short intervals, so tonight is much less painful than last night. It rained in spurts, but from inside the Poly, I was fine with it.

Tomorrow: Thinking about Test Track and Soarin' early, if rain is not a factor.

So far, no rain here. Beautiful, sunny day. Listening to kids splashing in the pool outside my open balcony door. SO much better than being at home. ;)

We went to Test Track first thing this morning. I think little boys and teenagers will probably like this one more, but I liked the last one better. Usually I am the babysitter during this ride, anyway, so it's no big thing. I might not ride it until the next refurb in fifteen years or whenever. :upsidedow We rode Soarin', walked around The Seas a little, and had breakfast at Sunshine Seasons. I also turned in my AP for the new RFID card. It is not a bracelet right now - just a plastic card.

Hope you are enjoying the FB pictures. I didn't know there was a smudge on the lens this morning, and I couldn't see it on the phone pictures. I have wiped it off, but we'll see later if it fixed the problem. Someone who knows about technology, if you know how to put the FB pictures over here for the non-FB friends, that would be nice.

Have a good rest of the day, friends!

Great to hear that you are having a wonderful time. I have really enjoyed all the pictures on facebook. Looking at your pictures along with Anita's and Brook's on facebook have maded me homesick for Disney. My breaking point was when Brook posted the pictures of her lunch, the corn dog nuggets from Casey's.

The pic with the 3 girls and sorcerer mickey is cute.
Love the pics from Crystal Palace.
I find nemo impossible to get good pics on.
I bought the “mine, mine, mine towel”. Love those seagulls. LOL
Those snacks looked yummy.
I love Soarin’ and the cranberry bog.
I love World Showcase. I think it is my favorite spot in Disney.
What a cute piggy bank.
Great shopping pics.
I love you ws pics.
Love the watermelon drink.
Ooh the lion. I might have seen him this past trip or I might not have. LOL
Great hippo pic.
Unattended luggage is not acceptable at Disney either. My last day there were some at POP and the CM’s were going crazy looking for the owners.
I enjoy Raifiki’s place. Will be there for sure in December.
Sounds like you had a good first day down there now. I have been enjoying Jill’s updates on FB.
All caught up and I posted your FB pics and forgot to post my post about the report. LOL

Great pics Memom. Thanks for posting them Scott. It looks like you're having a wonderful time. We have never been at this time, but I think we will have to go so I can enjoy the flowers and topiaries. Maybe next year if we don't go in January. Enjoy the rest of your trip and hope your knee holds up.:goodvibes

Hi Dis friends - another prayer request:

I found out today that a sister of a friend of mine, who's been missing since March 1st, was found deceased this weekend. I met her sister a few times, she was a sweet gal. They're not suspecting foul play. I don't have details but I can't imagine the pain the family is in, and I know they'd appreciate our prayers.

Here are todays FB pics.

That is for now. Will update more as it happens.
