We are a family of 4. Me, dh, and 2 dd's in their 20's. If you've done this excursion through DCL would you recommend it or not and why?

Thanks!

Wow! I have never heard of this excursion.
I can tell you we held or daughters wedding in Disney and at the end of the reception we rented a friendship boat from the boardwalk to EPCOT and we had a sectioned off area in the United Kingdom with desserts and a beautiful view of Illuminations.

I would guess its something like this for cruise guests on the excursion.

At any rate you will enjoy yourself, the desserts and atmosphere are terrific.

Hope that helped you a bit.

We did it on March 6. It was great to have a spot to sit and watch Illuminations. The desserts were ok. Nothing to spectacular. If you have done the dessert party for wishes there is no comparison, more variety there. We were also given paper 3D glasses to watch if we wanted. After we were done, we were escorted backstage to catch our bus back to the port. It was nice to not have to walk back to the front of the park. I would do it again if given the chance.

Thank you!

Do you remember what time you had to be there? Was it a close spot?

I believe it was 8:00. We arrived about 15 minutes late due to our Soarin fast passes. Mostly everyone was there when we arrived. We were on a patio under the bridge closest to France. It was a great location and having a seat at the end of the day was wonderful.

I was wondering how the end of IllumiNations and the departure of the last bus to the port were going to coordinate! We're on the DCL cruise leaving Galveston on May 10th, so will be at WDW on the 14th. Thanks for the explanation.

We are on that cruise too :) Are you thinking about this excursion?

More than thinking -- we booked it in January. Couldn't go to WDW without seeing IllumiNations. Usually catch it every night we're at the World.

It's one of the things Disney does best!
