Hi there! A newbie to your reports here and tagging along for the rest! (Also, I can't resist following a fellow Maritimer!)
Hi there! A newbie to your reports here and tagging along for the rest! (Also, I can't resist following a fellow Maritimer!)
It was long before the announcement was made to head to the muster station for the briefing
they scanned one key card for each cabin to check people in. Once everyone was there, they quickly went through the briefing and we were on our way.
It was nearly time for the sail away so we wandered back to the pool area. By the time we got all the way back up it was really crowded so we decided to simply head back to the cabin and watch from the balcony. We had told DWs parents we would be back there waving while they watched on the Fishlips webcam.
We had the early seating for dinner and tonight we would be in the Enchanted Garden
I dont recall what we had but I do know it was good.
As soon as there finished the doors open for the first nights show the Golden Mickeys.
We then headed to the District Lounge for Family Feud. Guess who was the first family picked US!!
Theyve gotten the Muster down to a painless science.
One of the many things DCL does well.
(and Im glad you no longer have to ware the life vests during the drill)
Those are some nice shots of Canaveral and the channel. I do believe yall had just about the best seats in the house for the sail-away.
Hope some day to score me a veranda cabin and do the same.
Like all dining aboard Disney ships, I expected to enjoy Enchanted Garden, but it surprised us by being about the best meal we had on our last cruse.
The venerable oldie A good show that theyve been doing pretty much since the Magic first started sailing. Have seen it several times and its still entertaining.
Very cool! (next time youll just have to cheat too to make it fair )
It surprises me that more folks dont take advantage of some of these whole-family activities. We were one point shy of being declared the Pirate Kings on one trip and Ive actually won a round of Who Wants to be a Mousketeer (based on the Millionaire game) and have the etched glass paperweight to prove it. Some of those games are a real hoot.
Sounds like an excellent sailing day. You took advantage of a lot of the extras that the unprepared tend to miss out on. Looking forward to hearing you take on Nassau.
great update darcy!!! is it me or is the deck bigger then the room?
maybe if i got a cabin like that with a big deck, i could sleep on the deck.
thats the main reason i cant go on a ship.
great pics!!! ill live through you!
Great pic of the VAB at the Kennedy Space Center! Always cool to see from on deck of a Disney Cruise ship.
Sent from my iPad using DISBoards
Being the proud dad that I am, I convinced DW that we should pick Mr Incredible but Declan decided on Goofy. That put us behind and with the others cheating, we couldnt catch up
So after lots of shrimp and some crab legs...?
I am intrigued by the shrimp and crab legs. We've been on DCL 4 times and I only remember crab claws. Are the crab legs available often? We usually do the sit down on embarkation day. Should I be heading to Cabanas for these treats? April 7th 4 day is coming soon!!!!
Great report! Keep it coming!
A little late to the party but enjoying the trip.
Thanks for writing about your travels.
Joining in a little late!! We will be on the Dream for the first time in May!
LOVE your balcony!!
Your pics are great! What kind of camera do you use?
The Dream is a great ship, I'm sure you will love her.
I am using a Canon Rebel XS for almost all if the pictures. I have some coming up from snorkeling that were taken using a waterproof camera.
Love Declan modeling the life vest!
Great update, would love a pic of the hoodie Pooksma got and some food porn! Seriously, it's all about the verandah and the food
