Hi ladies!!

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with info about having a dessert party for our dftw. We are having an escape wedding and planning on taking our guests out to dinner after the cake and champagne toast. I would love to host a dessert party after dinner. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Just wanted to say, I had a dessert party with my wedding, and it was one of the BEST decisions I made!!! It ended the day perfectly... we were at Eau de France, the lower French island, and all my guests were very impressed and excited. We had the build your own ice cream sundae bar, along with cookies and brownies and fresh fruit, and the fireworks were just amazing. It was the perfect way to end the day. Do it, do it, DO IT!!!!!

If you have an escape package, adding a DP will trigger a $7500 minimum spend. Just FYI.

(It's an idea I totally advocate for, though).

Hi all,

Just wanting to jump on this threat!!
I also want a dessert party but it looks like I'm only going to have 10-12 people, what's the best thing to do??
Thanks!!

There are locations suitable for groups of your size at Epcot, and Sago Cay at the Grand Floridian is also good for small groups. :thumbsup2

They changed the rule so that now it only applies if your ceremony is on a Saturday or a Sunday. Also, the minimum goes up to $8,000 in 2014. :thumbsup2

Thanks lurkeyloo!!
Could you tell me which locations in Epcot can be used for a party that small?
We going to Florida next week so we can have a look and see what we want but I can't talk to anyone at disney yet as its more than 9 months away!!

Thanks for that!! We shall have a look when we're there in a couple of weeks!! From your blog though uk pub side looks good, and fitting as that's where we're from!!

I just wanted to pipe in that we did exactly that! And we were an Escape wedding too!

Ceremony and cake cutting were at SBP, we then had our dinner "reception" in the Wine Room at Jiko and then went back to EPCOT for our DP in Morocco...
We used vans to get everyone to dinner and back, except for DH and I who took the vintage car to AKL.
Then we just got a limo from AKL back to EPCOT (backstage) where we were escorted in with our guests.
The DP is really a fabulous way to end the day/night.

I am considering having an Escape wedding but the guest list is challenging to say the least. Does anyone know if I added a dessert party to the Escape is it limited to 20 guests as well?
