I went back and reread my post and I think I managed to put every small irritation in that one post. It doesn't sound nearly as magical reading what I wrote as we felt.
The problem with check in wasn't a big deal. 1/2 hour, maybe 45 minutes to wait. We looked at is as we could be sitting in our house, cold with now outside or perhaps stuck in traffic. Or we could be comfortable watching the kids explore POR while waiting on our room. Computer problems happen everywhere. But, at least these happened at WDW and not in line at WallyWorld.
I was really impressed with the buses. Sure, at peak times they were crowded and sometimes we stood all the way from MK to the South depot. But, for the kids it was an adventure and DH and I didn't mind standing. I don't think we ever waited more than 10ish minutes for a bus the whole time we were there.
As it was, we were at a beautiful resort having an amazing vacation. Our breakfast at CRT put us in a window table looking directly across to the beast's castle. Our O'hana dinner had a window table looking over MK. That couldn't have been more perfect if I had planned it. My parents joined us at POR for a couple of days and at O'hana we watched the fireworks. My parents have been to WDW a few times, but mom is not a nightowl so dad has never seen the fireworks. And, they were so thrilled with their on property stay that they also booked a bounceback.
I was really impressed with how quiet POR was considering the number of rooms. Granted we were not there during high season, but I always found a place to relax at the pool while the kids played. The pool was busy, but not crowded. I cannot wait to go back and try out all of the resort activities that we missed this trip - campfire, Bob, fishing and maybe some of the quiet pools.
