This is a silly question but I heard there is shampoo in our rooms. Its me, my mom and my daughter. Do they give you new ones every few days or should I bring my own?:confused3

They will give you extras as you need them. if you have long hair that needs a special conditioner, then definitely bring your own.

I agree with the PP. I love the H2O shampoo, but the conditioner does not work well for my hair. I will be bringing conditioner from home.

If you need additional shampoo or soap make sure you ask the stateroom attendant. On our last cruise we had to keep requesting it as he never restocked the empties.

Ask for anything you need or think you might want. You will see your room steward all the time in the hallway. Your first day they will go out of their way to find you. Just tell him there are three girls and you need extra shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion and towels. After you request it they should make sure you get them everyday. Just remember, anything you might want or need, no matter how big or small, Ask..pixiedust:

Our stateroom hostess replaced ours as needed but I wasn't crazy about the stuff. It smelled nice but it did something weird to my daughter's hair. The second I combed the tangles out of her hair it would tangle up again. She has the most beautiful hair (slightly biased) but that whole trip she looked like a crazy person did her hair. It worked fine for my husband and son though! :thumbsup2

We must have a whole drawer full of those H2O products! Mostly the body butter lotion but also shampoo, conditioner and sunburn gel. Using those products now and then really takes me back to being on a cruise ....

Thanks everyone! I am just trying to not bring something I really don't have to. BUT I will probably have to bring my daughter's shampoo. She has Shirley Temple ringlets and I don't want her to end up walking around looking like Little Orphan Annie instead :rotfl2:

Yeah. This. ^^^^

In Dec. on the Fantasy, they left out new products DAILY. That was awesome, because DH LOVES the bar soap. This cruise (March) on the Fantasy, I got in the shower on CC day and my shampoo & cond were replaced (and they weren't even empty!), and, he took our bar of soap (which was only about 1/2 gone) and didn't leave a new one! Thank goodness I had some body wash.

Its a gel in the same little bottle. We have only sailed once in concierge and it was in our room. I have also seen it in deluxe resorts at WDW, but not sure they still have it there after this past years changes in the toiletry products at the resorts. I have also recently seen it in a number of WDW gift shops so would expect it to be in the ship gift shops. It is the only H20 product I will use. I am not a big fan of their products otherwise, too drying for me. DH will use all their stuff rather then bring his own.

I had a bottle left in our stateroom on our last cruise after the stateroom attendant saw me in the hallway looking like a lobster! :scared: We were in a verandah room on the Magic. I think she just felt bad for me.

I believe we were on the same cruise last week.
On the Fantasy MV,we were re-stocked everyday, sometimes twice a day. But on last weeks cruise, the bar soap DH was using was NEVER replaced(we didn't ask because we kept thinking it'll happen...) and we were restocked with the 3 tubes once, towards the end of the week. I wasn't sure if it was a new DCL policy or just the way our stateroom host did things.
The shampoo & conditioner does have a slight drying effect, but I use them anyway because I love the way they smell. Then,of course, back home,it brings back memories of cruising.

Believe it or not,I recently found a bag in the back of a closet that had the soaps, shampoos and conditioners from the Magic 2002. I always thought it was other items from the cruise & just kept moving it around.Tiny tubes and tiny bar of soap, all in B & W Mickey packaging. Definitely prefer the current toiletries.......

Just by the way, I saw the sunburn gel in the Outlet Store in Sawgrass Mills Mall in Florida. They had alot of it.:wave2:

I thought it was the water my DD also has beautiful long hair we used our own shampoo/conditioner the entire time once we got off the cruise I had to cut 3 inches off the bottom that looked dead! That was her first and only cut in 7 years

Did she swim very much? sun and pool chemicals aren't kind to hair.

we had to request extra soap, and hand towels, somehow we only had 2 for 4 of us, after that he paid more attention in our bathrooms and replaced everything as needed.

We will sometimes leave a little note for our stateroom attendant (especially if we don't run into him/her) and ask for extra shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, and to ask for ice to be brought in for the evening. We have never had a problem with not getting what we asked for. We bring the extras home and use them about once a month or so as a reminder of the happy times on DCL.

I'm a guy with short hair, and less of it every year, so the product itself doesn't matter too much. I like using the DCL h2O shampoo and conditioner when I want to evoke memories of the cruises. The sense of smell is the most strongly linked to our memories. The hand lotion does the same thing.
