Let's hear which pools you like best, which you don't care for, which ones offer something special.....

We'll be going to UO/IOA for the first time in August. Staying at the Royal Pacific!

I liked the water play area at RPR and the Lighthouse slide at Portofino bay..HRH was too crowded and too loud for my tastes .DD liked the slide there, but preferred PBH the most( which was good since we were staying there)

Oooh....there's a water play area? Any threads with photos?
Never mind, found some!
Follow up question, are kids allowed in the hot tub?

We love RPR for the relaxing atmosphere. Then we pool hop to HRH for some fun on the slide and lunch poolside. :thumbsup2

the pool at rph is great.
i can stay in the lounge chairs all afternoon there.
pool side service gets high marks from me.

also have been to the pools at hrh and pbh.

the draw for some at hrh is the slide.
since i don't do the slide, the pool is just okay for me.
i'm more of a sit by the pool and relax type of homie.

pbh has a great set up also on their pools.
good attentive service here also poolside.

Yep us too. Our summer trip is coming up again and can't wait for just lounging all day eating, drinking, swimming, and can't forget being waited on by a wonderful staff.

Wow, I'm just getting really excited for this trip!
I have two smaller trips before this one....but this one's going to be completely new for us! Usually at Disney I wind up with maybe three hours by the pool...the parks are open so late and I'm a RD person..... I think I'm going to appreciate being "forced" to leave the parks and go to the pool!

We did too..We honestly felt like we had a vacation.By late afternoon we were done with the parks and ready for a break and we would walk back to the resort and lounge by the pool ( we lucked out since we visited JAn 2012 and it was a heat snap that week). In the evenings we would walk back to citywalk and just walk around ( mini golf wasnt open when we went but is now). Our trip was like what Disney was like in the 80's..only 2 parks so plenty of time to enjoy the resorts and feel like you were on vacation. Our Disney trips we feel (even after all the trips we have done) that we have to GO GO GO..
