Gifts for CL CMs

I'm a fan of bringing a gift that's regional and can be shared. Being from NH I usually bring a bunch of maple candy for the club CMs to share. There are a couple CMs who have really gone REALLY far out of their way for us and we tend to bring some additional maple sugar and other maple products for them.

This is in addition to a letter after our trip to Guest Communications detailing how wonderful the CMs have been.

Pa has lots of breweries too, maybe some local beers?

CMs are not allowed to accept alcohol as gifts.

Have heard they are required to get rid of it. Not take home but to pour it out.

Can't wait to bring my NYC goodies to the CL CM's.

But let me get this straight. I should bring two gifts. One for the IPO and one for the YC concierge staff.

BUT, In order to give the IPO their gift, I have to go to BC? Where in the BC? Or can I have it sent from YC Concierge (If I gave it to YC CL staff to SEND to IPO?) Just trying to get my ducks in a row! I'm excited to give them sweet treats from NYC!

This past December we did a 4 night cruise on the Dream and then spent 4 nights at AKL. I took Wilbur Buds for the stateroom host and the staff at the club level desk.

Wilbur Buds look like Hershey Kisses but are much better (in my opinion) and come from the Wilbur Chocolate Factory in Lititiz, PA. They come in milk and dark chocolate.

This is a resurrected thread (back from the dead), so this might have already been posted...you aren't obligated to give gifts to any CL CMs - some guests do, particularly when wanting to personally thank certain CMs who have gone above and beyond.

I only posted about the IPO staff being located at some of the resorts because someone asked about giving the IPO staff a gift, but frankly, I had not heard of guests giving IPO staff gifts. If you would like to, the easiest way would be to simply give it to the CL staff and ask that they pass the gift along to the IPO staff, which depending on where you're staying, may or may not be in your resort (see post 16).

Thanks. I had every intention to give a gift, no obligation for me. I just didn't realize that iPo and CL were two different areas (silly me thinking they're all one in the same) I just wanted to understand how best to thank all that helped. Thank you for clarifying that for me.

I never give anything to IPO. I only tried using them once and they were completely unhelpful. CL CMs at Poly on the other hand have come to feel almost like family and really bend over backwards to make our stays special so we like to do a little something for them.
