Hi there - is there an option to walk to Hollywood Studios from BCV or is it only boat or bus. Which takes longer boat or bus and how far of a walk if that's an option?

Thanks for your help :)

Just got back for bwv, which is right next door. There were no buses to DHS, just a choice of walk or boat. The walk was about 15 minutes. We found that walking in the morning then catching then oat on the way back worked good for us.

No bus, but you can walk or take a boat. We usually took the boat in the morning, and would often walk back at night. It is a rather long walk between the BCv's and HS, probably about 20 to 25 minutes, but we found it a nice way to wind down from a busy day at the park. :)

But mostly we took the boat.

Thanks for your replies :) how often does the boat go and how early does it make its first trip, regular park days and EMH days? How long does the boat take?

You can either walk for the BC to DHS or take the boat. There are no buses unless the boats are not running. The walk is about 1.1 miles. It's not a bad walk, but I would rather save my feet for all the walking in DHS. :)

The boat picks up from YC and takes about 20 minutes (varies depending on how long it takes to load/unload people and how long you have to wait for the boat). It will go to the S/D first and then onto DHS.

I don't know when the boats start, but the last one leaves DHS' dock one hour after final park closing (so they run through EMH).

think it was an hour before the park opens.

from bcv might be tempted to walk to Epcot and take that boat - it will be longer - but really think you are closer to the boats at Epcot than the marina at YC.

to do the boats from Epcot to Studio would allow 30 minutes.

The boat route is this:

DHS
Swan/Dolphin
YC/BC/BCV
BW
Epcot

Then it returns.

Usually one boat will be at each dock about the same time, so you will be passing other boats on the water. Each stop between DHS and Epcot is about 10-15 minutes for the stop to unload guests and load guests.

The YC dock is about 0.1 miles from the lobby of the BC, while International Gateway is about 0.25 miles, so depending on where you are in the BCV, it might be pretty much the same. The advantage if going to International Gateway is that you're at the start of the route so you should get a seat. If you wait until YC, folks from Epcot and the BW will have already boarded.

but really think you are closer to the buses at Epcot than the marina at YC.

It is further to get to the front of Epcot where the buses are located. You have to enter via International Gateway, then walk to the front of Epcot. It's at least three-quarters of a miles. You can't walk from the BC to the front Epcot without going through International Gateway, so you'll also need park hoppers.

We have an 8:00 breakfast at H&V. Will the boat be running tht early or should we plan to walk?
