My friends the summer offer will be

The rules for free dining are usually different. If you use a free dining package, you must checkin on one of the dates it's offered. So if your checkin is before, you can't just add it to the last few days of the trip. However, if you checkin on one of the dates, it will continue for the length of your trip, even if it goes beyond the dates offered

Thanks so much for the info Danny!

I know room categories within a resort can have different discounts. How certain is it the 20% discount at the WL would apply to CL rooms as well?

:cool1:

Maybe??? I did not pay tax on the Photopass...:confused3

We do not have sales tax in NH, so maybe that's why??

I've never paid tax on Photopass either, but maybe since it was booked within the package they charge tax. I have only ordered it separately.

You can add dining up to five days before the reservation date as long as you also have purchased park tickets, thereby making it a Magic My Way package. You can add the tickets at the same time as you add the dining plan, or you can buy the tickets earlier than that. That is what we did for our reservation last month. I booked a room only reservation in July, got the RO discount for it in October, then bought tickets in January and added the dining plan ten days before our Feb 5th check in date. :) There weren't any problems doing it that way. :)

You can add the dining plan up to 72 hours before your check in date.

You will have no problem adding on another discount later. I do not think this will require 2 separate reservations.

What does everybody think of the following?::confused3
I am thinking about staying at POP for the first night so that I can purchase the discounted tickets and then move to AOA LM rooms the next night. We are going with extended family and we could save some $ on tickets. Is there a minimum number of nights in order to get the ticktes? We will be getting to the resort late so we don't care where we stay the first night.
Yes you must book at least 4 nigths to qualify for the discounted tickets :thumbsup2

Danny,

My dates for the Poly GVCL are June 28-July2. Are you foreseeing that as a blackout date because it is so close to the 4th? I already have about 22% off through my TA. I do not know if the Poly will go much more than that anyway.

So excited!

Thanks!

You got it! I asked my TA to add it to my package and she said I was better off to preorder, because they do not charge tax UNLESS it is part of a package.

Thanks so much for the info!

Any thoughts on whether AP discounts will be released, if they are any different than GP discounts, and if they will be released before or after GP discounts - same questions of Disney Visa discounts.

Thanks so much for all your help!!!!

asked same question on another thread, didn't see a reply so i'll chime in here;)

imo very odd AP rates cut off early June, before the current 30% promo ends (6/13):confused3. Realize AP rates not always offered.

last year AP promos for 2nd week in June were announced early February, with the next round not released until early May:bitelip:. Waiting that long would run into final payment date on packages that fall after June 3) if they don't release something beforehand. Hate to think they may skip rest of June entirely.

jmho with the PAP discount offered to DVC members, i'm wondering how many of us are sneaking in another trip paying cash this year? combined with other factors...if the rooms are selling ahead of track via packages, guess no need to discount them for AP holders:scratchin

We're just starting to plan a trip for Aug 11 or 12 through the 20th. It seems like this promotion will apply for the first few nights of our trip, but then we'll be stuck with rack rates - at least until another promo comes out. How will this work for us? From what I understand, I can book the room now and on 4/2 call and get a discount for the first nights. When/if a discount is released for the last nights of the trip, can I call again and change the second half to that discount? Will it end up being two separate reservations? I'm still not sure what resort. Right now I'm thinking an AoA Family Suite because we have myself, my mom, DH, DS6, DS4, and DD2 along for the ride and need separate sleeping areas while keeping the price reasonable. TIA

When we went over New Years's Eve we had 2 reservations, the one starting Dec 30 with no discount then the one from Jan 2-5 with discount. I don't know if this was because only half our trip had discount. But I would say there is a chance you will have 2 separate reservation and if there is we had no problem. They told us we may have to change rooms but we didn't. Also we did Magical Express so we received our reservations for ME on the way there but not for way back and then on Jan 4 we received all our ME info, luggage tags, etc. :thumbsup2

Our trip last year was over two different discount periods. We were booked for the first 6 nights on the spring discount with our last night on the summer discount. It was easy enough to make the change to our reservation when the summer discount came out (we had already booked without our last night being part of any discount at the time.) We were also advised we might have to change rooms. When we checked in I informed the CM we actually had two reservations and were hoping to not have to change rooms. She said that wouldn't be a problem and we were booked in one room for the entire week. She did tell us we would have to come down & check out and then check back in.

Here's where it got messed up...I went and did as she told, presented all four of our KTTW and they were swapped out for new ones. Off to the park we went...got to the turnstyle...and nothing! Were told to go to guest services as our KTTW were ROOM ONLY!!! Yikes! The guest services CM was VERY friendly & helpful. He was able to look up our entire pkg and was able to give us paper tickets for that day (this was our last day so that was fine.) He explained when we were given our new KTTW, the CM at the resort had not put on our remaining day of park tickets. Next day, we were preparing for check out & realized we didn't have our DME papers...back to the front desk. Turns out DME expected us THE DAY BEFORE (when our first reservation ended) but we hadn't gotten any paperwork since our reservation was for another night. :confused3 Yikes!!! LUCKILY--we had a mid day flight b/c it took about an hour to coordinate with Disney, CSR (where we were staying,) AirTran & DME to get us booked on another DME. By the time it was all resolved we had just enough time to grab our bags and run to the DME pickup and get checked in. Lots of stress which I believe could have been avoided. Would hope to not have to book like that again but if we do, I'll definitely not assume the "professionals" have done everything correctly and will check it myself.

Yikes! Even though our trip went smoothly, we are looking at the possiblity of having two reservations again this August (last night could be on different reservation if new discounts come out for August 15). Sorry your trip didn't go well but thanks for the heads up.

Can I book a 3 night trip at a moderate resort and get a room discount, but pay full price for tickets?? Or do i have to stay 4 nights to qualify for any type of discount?? Thanks!

Danny25, will BLT rooms have a discount?

Please forgive me if this has been asked.

Thank you do much for sharing your info with us!
