PLEASE! Whistle while you work …… Update Day 6 - 06/16

I am sorry that you didn't get your server.... I imagine that would be disappointing! Food looks good though!

And the little gifts look like so much fun!

All caught up here now.

Great updates and pics.

That is great how many people know you on the ship and welcome you on.

But I may try it which is more thn I will say for ToT!!!!:rotfl2: I am sure you know Christine and I are seriously searching for FE gifts for next year!!!:rotfl2:

You have not been on ToT, Rosie? ;) Such a fun ride. :rotfl2:
Maybe one day we will make it onto Dumbo. ;)

Great updates Karin

Shame you didn't get your requested server. I hope you tracked her down eventually and gave her the Nutella!! :)

Thank you, Linda.
We were so disappointed that we did not get Ana. Especially since I had asked the TA to request her for us AND having asked for her on the ship.
And ..... she DID get her Nutella in the end. :lmao:

Did you ever fine out where Ana was and why you didn't get her?

We never found out why we didn't get her, but we had some Disney magic sprinkled onto us, lateron. ;)

Well, especially since we had been told that everything had been taken care of, that was what really threw me for a loop.
And then we both were really disappointed and even though our servers tried hard, they didn't have much chance. :lmao:

:thumbsup2 for being caught up!

This was our 10th cruise and of those 10 cruises 7 were on the DREAM. And we did them all within 2 1/2 years. Many of the CMs recognized us from doing back to back to backs. ;)

Half term vacation 2013, Feb 16 - Feb 24

Day 3, February 18

“I’m going to change that for you!” - part 1

We were up around 7am and walked out onto the veranda to see that we were getting close to Nassau.
We were in no hurry that day, as we just wanted to do some shopping in Nassau and then return to the Dream to have a lazy day. So after showering we went downstairs to the Royal Palace for breakfast. We were quickly seated at a very nice table and a server was right there to hand us a menu. Well, I would not have needed one, but I took a look anyway. Nope, nothing new, so here we went again.
Tom ordered some

coffee and I ordered some

orange juice and ice-water. Once our drinks had arrived the assistant server offered us some pastries, which we both declined. Soon after, our breakfast starters arrived.
Tom again had ordered the

Swiss Bircher Muesli, Muesli with raisins, shredded apples and yogurt, while I had been longing for the

Mornin' Tug Boat, a fresh blend of strawberries, bananas, almonds, raisin granola and low-fat yogurt. We both enjoyed them very much and once we were done the empty plates were quickly removed and our breakfast mains were put in front of us. We both had ordered the

Traditional Eggs Benedict, Toasted English muffin with grilled Canadian bacon, served with poached egg topped with hollandaise sauce, grilled roma tomatoes and link sausages.
Nothing spells vacation like Eggs Benedict for breakfast. And while we were still happily munching our breakfast, Tom said, “Ana is over there.” Before I had even gotten a glimpse of her, she had disappeared again. Now Tom kept an eye on the door she had used and we finished our breakfast.
Ana never reappeared, but now we were on a mission. After tipping our servers we walked all around the restaurant and since we did not see Ana anywhere we decided to ask at the front desk of the restaurant. We walked up to the Cast Member, explained our situation and hoped for the best. Several of the Cast Members put their heads together and finally asked if we wanted to talk to the Ana with glasses.
Yes, that was our Ana and a Cast Member made a phone call, another one disappeared towards the back of the restaurant and within a few minutes we saw her come over with one of the Cast Members. You could tell that she did not know why she was supposed to come to the front desk, but once she noticed us, she started to run over to us and we were both hugged. First thing she wanted to know was, where we had been the night before. :rotfl2:
We explained that we had tried to get her as our server, but that something must have gone wrong. Her answer? “I am going to change that for you!” :cloud9:
She wrote down our stateroom number and our rotation and promised to leave us a message to let us know if everything had worked out. She explained that she had our friends Katerina, Jimmy and Alex on a 6 top and if we were willing to change from late to early dining, she would just squeeze us in there. So, after a few minutes we knew that she had been promoted and was now a trainer, only working tables in the evening and that her husband Matija had been promoted to Palo server. And once she had found out that we had a brunch reservation at Palo she promised to make sure we had him as our server. She had to get back to work and after some more hugs we said our goodbyes and hoped to see her again that night.

To be continued ...........

I am gonna insist we go to Royal Palace for eggs benedict at least once in May !!! You can just walk in right ???? Waiting to see how the Ana story progresses !! My GD Samantha LOVES the Nutella snacks they sell so will add that to my list for Feb 2014

Karin I am enjoying your report. I have never rode on the Dumbo ride either, by the way. I love the Muesli for breakfast. Our summer cruise will be all up to Disney for our room and servers. They have always done a great job, I am sure we will be happy with what they choose for us.

That looks like a yummy breakfast!

It WAS a yummy breakfast! Eggs Benedict are something I only have on vacation, so I really really enjoy them. :goodvibes

Yay!! You found her

YES!!!!!!! We had some Disney magic in the end! :dance3:

You just show up for breakfast at RP, Rosie. They will take your stateroom number and take you to a table.
And btw. Cabanas has Eggs Benedict as well. ;)

We all grew up with Nutella. It originally comes from Italy and I remember we always got it as a treat when we would be on vacation there. Lateron it was widely available here and even today I always have a jar around.
And I got Ana a really big jar - about 2 pounds of Nutella. :rotfl2:

Teresa, so good to know that you are here! And yeah, another one who has not ridden Dumbo! :lmao: And I always thought I was the only one. ;)

Tom loves that Muesli - and I just love the strawberry yogurt! Both are so yummy!
Well, we know which stateroom we will be in, but since this is our first time on the Fantasy we will not know any of the CMs - guess we WILL have some "friends" after two weeks cruising. :rotfl:

It was different with Ana, as we got to know her during our back to back to back and we sailed with her for 11 days. Then last February we had her again and had a lot of fun. She was on vacation in the summer and we had really nice servers too, but the "connection" was missing.

Yummy breakfast, and :cool1: that you got it worked out with Ana!

I really enjoy those cruise breakfasts, Ann! So relaxed and so wonderful. And the best of all is that we "found" Ana! :cloud9:

Yay - you found Ana ! :)

I hope she enjoyed to Nutella :)

It was such a wonderful feeling to have found Ana ..... and I can tell you that she managed to eat half of the jar in the remaining 2 1/2 days we were on board. :rotfl2:

Finally caught up Karin...that sunrise from BLT is beautiful. We are never up earlier enough to see one.

Love all the cruise pictures...I'm craving all that cruise food!! What a nice feeling that so many people know you! YAY...you found Ana. I know how disappointed you both were that you did not get her as a server.

BTW, I never rode Dumbo, I don't like the feeling of just going round & round. Scott rode the old one because he wanted to see the construction of New Fantasyland.

All caught up again! :cool1: So much fun going through this with you again :) Nothing like the first day on the ship and knowing you have several more ahead of you and you have double to look forward to! :dance3:

I'm glad you found your Ana and it's so touching to hear all the nice treats you bring to your CM's- very nice! I miss my Nutella - the "real" kind - lol.

I'm looking forward to more...

Heather

So happy things worked out with Ana and she enjoyed the Nutella! My kids grew up with it, but I'd never heard of it until living in Boston. Having grown up on mostly southern food, it was not something we ever had. Mia keeps an organic version in the house for Sophia - she enjoys it on toast. :)

On vacation breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! Although at WDW I find it a bit more difficult to squeeze in a truly yummy breakfast and rope drop if not staying at a deluxe resort....of course, a deluxe is always my my first choice! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the answer to breakfast at Royal Palace !!Today I meet with P &P for the info on our cruise !!:cool1So will have a lot of reading to do and maybe a few phone calls with questions !!!:goodvibes

Rosie, I am going to be waiting here all the details!! SO EXCITING!!!!:cool1:

Oh, Elaine, if you had a 6 hour time change you WOULD be up early enough to catch the sunrise. ;) :lmao:

It was like coming home with all the people recognizing us. We had such a fun time and we found Ana in the end. And for the rest of the cruise, she and her husband took good care of us. :cloud9:

Welcome to the .... I have never ridden Dumbo, club! :thumbsup2 This is one of the rides that I don't feel comfortable with without a kid. But then, maybe we can borrow one of Jeff's this summer. ;) :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 for being caught up! It is so easy to fall behind, isn't it? ;)

Yes, getting on the ship is SO much fun, unfortunately once you are on board, time just flies by and before you know it, they "throw" you off the ship again. :lmao:

It is so nice to see that wide smile on the CMs faces when they get a goody now and then. We travelled with about half a suitcase full of Milka chocolate or Milka products - have to admit we did not take one thing home. :thumbsup2

I read the Daily Loga from the P & P trip last year and guess what ... they ate breakfast at the Royal Palace and when I talked to the escort she highly recommended it as it was relaxing and greta time to plan the day!!!

Okay I am with you Karin not been on Dumbo, it's too child like for me ;):rotfl2:Christine I am the same way , but I have a feeling if the new Dumbo is popular with the guys Carol will make me !!!!:lmao:

Oh my dear Rosie...you better hope I don't read this post to Mark. Dumbo is "too child like for me"...he would be so disappointed in you. Dumbo, like all other rides at Disney are for the child in all of us.

I don't know if Mark will talk to you now. :lmao::lmao::lmao:
