Great server on Fantasy??

My all time favorite server just happens to be on the Fantasy - Jamie Lee from England - oh my goodness - she was aMAHHHHzing.

We had her for our Palo brunch and dinner in our November fantasy sailing and she was the biggest sweetheart! I hope she is still there when we sail in June

We were on the Fantasy March 2-9, and had Ali (Head Server), Hervey (Server), and Bagus (Asst Server) as our team. They were fabulous- the best team I've had in all of my 9 cruises.

We love Emmanuel (Phillipines)! He has been our server on numerous cruise, including our first DCL cruise many years ago.

We cruised on the Fantasy twice last year and made sure that Emmanuel was our server. Head Server Liam (Jamaica) is also very good.

Ummmm, no they are not. I know we all want to be nice and complimentary. But please do not assume my behavior affected my service. However, I was extremely polite, gracious, and understanding.

They just could'nt get it together. Really, Like I wanted to help them. And get my own drink and extra napkins.


Asking for a drink, and extra napkins are common requests at a dinner table.

In a formal dining atmosphere, they should be handled quite easily.

And as I stated in my OP, Im over it. ANd I didnt let it affect my cruise one bit, because I am a polite and gracious cruiser!

I agree with this- we were incredibly polite with our waitress and did not complain about the slow service...the morning of disembarkation she was very cold to us to the point of being rude....my wife thought i may have been cheap with the tip yet i threw and extra $15 in the envelop as well as the tip ticket....never again with that one...

I LOVE Ali!!! He was our server on the Dream in 2011 and I am so excited he's on the Fantasy now! Hope he's there in May!!!

In February, we had O'Neill from Jamaica and Ninja from Thailand...very much enjoyed them...they worked well together!

I agree with the above post. We had O'neill and Ninja on our June cruise and loved them. They were great and we plan on asking for them again on our May cruise in 2014.

We were on the Fantasy last June. I can't remember the names of the servers we had at first but they just didn't get it. They were pleasant but our main server was mechanical, like he had memorized what they wanted him to say and the assistant was friendlier but slow.

On the other hand, Liam was our head server and couldn't have been better and for the last 2 days our server was "sick" and Claudia filled in. She was excellent as well.

She was our favorite server out of 8 DCL cruises.

Were on the Fantasy last month (Feb 2-9) on Western Caribbean Cruise. We had Martin and Martin and were very happy with them. The younger Martin (Asst Server) interacted extremely well with the children at our table. In fact they got along so well when they found out his Birthday was during our cruise they INSISTED on buying him Birthday Presents! The older Martin (Server) was very friendly and worked really hard to make dinners as enjoyable as possible.

For the last 3 cruises, we've requested Sergio (from Montenegro). He's our favorite server and have requested him again for our April cruise. He's always had different assistants though. I don't know for sure, but I'm not sure you can request a "team" as they move around, but you can request the main server for sure. I may be wrong though….
But I love that we'll already know him!!
I've heard a lot of people request him as well.

We've had Sergio twice - just left him this AM We adore him. His asst server was different this time than it was in Dec.

We are looking forward to seeing him next March!

OK. The younger head server Ali totally resembles Mike the Situation from the Jersey Shore. When he was walking around Cookies at CC with his sun glasses on, I thought I would crack the heck up. He was next to our section. Our head server was Cedomir from Croatia, whom we also had in Dec and loved. He does a great job!

The Andre you had was he from Jamaica? We had an Andre from Jamaica on both our cruises on the Magic. Our last one Jan 12 he told us he was moving to the Fantasy. We loved him & will miss him on our B2B on the Dream

Just got off the Fantasy yeasterday.
Can't believe it was just yesterday morning that DH & I were having breakfast in Animators Palate...

We had Ivica from Croatia and ***'t. Hanti, a sweetheart from South Africa.
We cannot say enough about Ivica.
He has an amazing personality and has a few funny stories about politics and life in Croatia. Loves to talk about his 9YO daughter-very proud Dad - makes him very attuned to children and their needs.
One of the best!!!!!!!
