And now for the one that many of you have been waiting for, Michelle's update from her dinner at...

Michelle said, "The whole experience was elegant and decadent. I had two fantastic wait staff...Sherry and Jack."

"I was seated and welcomed and a napkin placed on my lap. I was presented with the personalized menu, and Sherry recited the entire menu to me from memory, explaining every dish on the menu. I was given time to make my choices. I had to choose all 6 courses at once."

First was the Amuse Bouche...

From right to left: Alaskan King Crab, Cold Smoked Scottish Salmon, and Jumbo Lump Crab with Avocado Puree and Tomato Gelee

1st Course: Masago Crusted Gulf Shrimp with Ponzu Vinaigrette, served with a hand rolled French baguette with European-style butter (the first of three bread & butter courses)



"The tastes were amazing. It was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. I really savored the shrimp. It was delicious!"

2nd Course: Diver Scallop with Fennel, Leek, and Minus 8 Verjus Vinaigrette



"As Jack presented each course, he explained each dish thoroughly."

2nd Bread Course: Black Truffle Brioche with Black Truffle Butter

3rd Course: Braised Oxtail and Cherry Ravioli with Roasted Red Peppers


"The flavors were indescribable...really good."

3rd Bread Course: Seeded Multigrain with Fleur de sal salted butter


"All 3 breads were served fresh and warm. All 3 butters came from the Vermont Butter & Cheese Co."

4th Course (the Entree): Poulet Rouge with Hedgehog Mushrooms, Gnocchi, and White Asparagus


"Delicious!"

5th Course: White Chocolate Gelato with White Chocolate Shavings applied tableside


"Yummy!"

6th Course: Hawaiian Kona Chocolate Souffle, finished tableside with Godiva chocolate



"And served with coffee made with their Celebes coffee vacuum brewer. What a treat to watch this gourmet coffee brewer."

"You can see in the background, the silver service tray with the coffee accompaniments."

"And finally, just as the head chef presents you with the Amuse Bouche to "open you palate", the pastry chef presents you with a final sweet to end your meal..."

"Everything was so delicious. I was treated like royalty throughout the entire experience."

"When I left I was presented with a long stemmed red rose, a small loaf of their orange-date nut bread, and my personalized menu."​

Wow, V&A looked great!!! I'm always afraid that there will be too many things on the menu that I won't like, so I can't justify the price, but that menu seemed really good. There was at least one appealing selection in each course, if not more. One of these days I will break down and try it!

I am determined to do this when we go in December for our 10 year anniversary. I am an anti-seafood person so I was a little worried, but I read on the thread that they call you and you can tell them your allergies and/or complete no's. And as long as you don't do the Chef's table, each course gives you an option of 3 dishes.

I'm so excited to see those photos!! Counting down the months until I can book this!

Victoria & Alberts called me 2 days prior to confirm and go over allergies. I have no allergies but told them that I dont like caviar. They accomodated me and when the menu was explained, sherry pointed out what to avoid since I dislike caviar. I sat in the regular dining room which was a 6 course meal.

The queen victoria room is smaller...and more expensive and a 10 course meal...just like the chefs table.

Honestly i could not have taken another bite. I wanted to drink more of that delicious gourmet coffee, but i was so full that I just couldnt.

My reservation was for 830 p.m. The meal lasted 2 and a half hours. I left the restaurant at 11 p.m. got back to my hotel and couldn't fall asleep until 1 because I was just too full. If I eat there again I would definitely try to get an earlier dinner reservation.

There were some really nice choices, and im sure they could handle most any special request.

She and her family had dinner last night at...

"This place was beautiful. We had the pleasure of being seated on the West Wing."

"We started out with the mussels & the meat and sausage plate. Both were really good."

Mussels Provencal with white wine, tomato, garlic, onion, basil and butter

Assorted Cured Meats and Sausages served with cornichons, pickled onions, and toasted baguette





"For entrees I had the shrimp & scallops, DH had the salmon, DS had the steak & DD had the kids pasta."

Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops with seasonal vegetables served in puff pastry with a creamy lobster sauce

Pan seared Salmon on Leek Fondue, served with creamy saffron crushed potatoes

Grilled Strip Steak with garlic-herb butter and pommes frites

Kids Pasta - Whole-Grain Macaroni topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella



"Everything was really good except for the steak. The charred part had a really bitter taste. DS took two bites and then just ate another roll."

"I wasn't looking too forward to dessert here, but wow were we surprised. We had the strawberry & the lemon cupcakes and they were incredible!!!"​

You might recall from a previous update from a former live reporter, AuroraMeansDawn, that she and Michelle had an unexpected DISmeet when they were both in the same group for the "Enchanted Tales with Belle" show and both were chosen to be a part of the show.

Michelle said, "Meeting Dawn was a nice surprise and such a coincidence."

Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party

Michelle said, "What a great way to end my birthday on Monday. I made a ressie the 1st day reservations were open for March. Tables were preassigned with your name and # in your party. I was assigned a front row table. The view was perfect. We could see the Electrical Parade and they piped in the music. The fireworks view was awesome, and the desserts were yummy. CMs kept them replenished...even the chocolate covered strawberries, which were huge. There was a nice variety of desserts and drinks."

Michelle said, Since I stayed in MK until 1:30 a.m. on Monday to do some shopping, I decided to grab a snack on my way out of the park. Love the freshly made treats from the Confectionery! I chose the hidden Mickey rice krispie treat covered in chocolate and mini M & M's."

"The line was very long here, even at 9:00 p.m. and moved very slow but overall the meal was okay. It filled our bellies."

"The brown cheese was interesting. The flavor was good but the texture was weird for me. Like butter. The surprise was the peppered mackerel. DH and I really enjoyed it."

"The orange juice a bit was good but a bit more sour than Crystal Palace's."





Heather said, "Overall breakfast was decent. The bacon was excellent and the service was good.
My boys and Kaitlyn really enjoyed the princesses."

"I was disappointed because Mad Hatter wasn't there. My server said he's usually there. I went specifically to see him. There was Mary Poppins, Alice, Pooh, Tigger, & Piglet. It's a great place to meet a lot of characters at once."

Heather said this about their day at Epcot, "This was an odd eating day since we ate so much at breakfast. We had a late lunch around 2:00.

"Neither liked the kids meal offerings so one chose a chili cheese dog and grapes..."

"And our other son chose chicken nuggets (none on the kids menu, Undercover Tourist app menu was not correct)..."

"He chose fries. They were actually pretty tasty. I snuck one."




"The adults wanted fish and chips so we made our way to the UK, but first stopped at Japan for..."

Frushi (Fresh strawberries, pineapple and cantaloupe rolled with coconut rice, atop a raspberry sauce sprinkled with toasted coconut and whipped cream)


"This was pretty good. I felt like there could have been something added to push it into the really good range but as it was it was good. It gave us strength to push on to France..."

"...for a Grand Marnier & Grey Goose Slush. Delish as always."






"Then on to the Yorkshire County Fish Shop...

"We always stop here at some point during our Epcot days and it is very consistent. It is a slightly greasy meal. The fries were hot and fresh and have no need for extra salt. We were so tired we left the park around 6:00 and ate dinner in our room."




"Tomorrow is our last day and no one in my family could stand the thought of getting up at 6:00 a.m. again, especially with the drive home starting, so we cancelled Donald's Safari breakfast and will be winging it food wise tomorrow."
