This will be the first using Disney dining plan I was currently looking over the menu at pop for quick service Meals. from my understanding you get an entrée like a burger with fries and a dessert and I see that they offer a Sundae for more than five dollars am i able to get all three of those items with one quick service credit.

You got it! If you're hungry you can definitely fill up on a counter service credit!

At each location, there might be some desserts which are not included. You'll want to confirm the dessert is allowed as the dessert option with the dining plan before you order. The menu should show the little dining plan symbol if it's included.

thank you guys so much, this is nothing like DL so im trying to learn all the ins and out. And at that time i was hungry and looking over the menu lol

ALSO if you want the ice cream as your dessert you do not have to get it at the same time you get your meal (because it will melt while you are eating) Tell them you plan on coming back for ice cream for your dessert and they will stamp your receipt and you have 90 minutes to come back and get the ice cream.

^^ good thought i hope i would have thought that when i got there but good to remember. of course its 159 days away so who knows what ill remember lol

You also get a drink. If you have the refillable mug then get a bottled drink for later.

Not sure if the OP is staying at that resort but its my understanding the mug is only good for your resort.

But this is a great tip for your home resort.

The refillable mugs are only good at your resort, they do not fill them in the parks or at restaurant locations.

yes but if your at your resort and you get a drink with your meal as part of the plan, they are saying get a water for later since one would have the refillable mug to get a soda, or water even

Im glad you asked this question! I was wondering too.:confused3 I also have another question. It will be my DD(16) and me for 4 nights, check in on wednesday evening, out on sunday morning. Does that mean we have 8 QS credits each plus 4 snack credits each? What about Sunday(checking out)? And since we are arriving later on Wednesday, can those credits roll over to the next day to use for breakfast? Or do they expire each day? This is tough untill you know all the details . Thanks for your help!

Your credits are based on the number of nights you stay and you can use them in any order up until midnight the day you check out so yes you would have 8 qs meals each plus the 4 snack and you could use them all on Thursday/Friday/Saturday if that's what works for you (not saying you have or that you should just that you could). Depending on when you arrive on Wed, you might use one of your QS for dinner and then use one for breakfast on Sunday before you check out and 2 each day during the rest of your trip)

So, including Wednesday, Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sunday, we would have 10 credits each plus snack credits. If we use 1 each on Wednesday when we arrive and none on sunday (early flight), we could actually use them for breakfast on Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Right?:thumbsup2

One more question: Are most of the snack items prepackaged so we could bring them home? And where do I get those Mickey rice krispie treats everyone talks about? Oh, I guess that was two questions, sorry.

You only get credits per night so if you are checking out on Sunday you do not receive credits for that day.
The rice krispie treats are everywhere in the food courts giftshops etc.
Personally I like to go to DTD to Goofys candy shop and get personalized ones on a stick that they dip in Chocolate and add 1 topping to for a snack credit. There are little slips at the counter that you fill out and toppings inclue, M&Ms, resees pieces, oreo, butterfinger. Yum!!!:goodvibes

Or if you are paying OOP for an adult beverage:drinking1. That is what we did at WPE when we had the DDP.

POP sundaes are the BEST! Photographic evidence...

Enjoy!

Are you speaking just QS or just TS or both?

And whats WPE

WPE = Wolfgang Puck Express
There are 2 WPE locations at DTD.

At TS locations they typically don't have bottled water. If you get an alcoholic beverage at a QS location then just grab a bottle of water for later as your beverage. At a TS location you can get a coffee (even a capuccino or latte if they have them) with your dessert as your beverage option if you choose to get an alcoholic beverage with your meal.
