So IF there is free dining this fall, what resorts are usually excluded?

We are planning a possible trip in September. I know that free dining this fall is still up in the air, but I'm trying to be figure out where we want to stay if FD is offered.

Values - Do most resorts have some free dining rooms available? I noticed in the past that the Little Mermaid rooms are not included.

Moderates - Is FD ever offered at POR French Quarter? Are there any other moderates usually excluded?

Deluxe - Any deluxes usually excluded?

I had free dining last Sept at AoA LM room.

Maybe because it had just opened?

It might be included this time around. You never know :)

Art of Animation Little Mermaid rooms are not included in any recent resort discounts, because there are very few of them and they are much in demand - no need to offer discounts to fill them. The only time free dining was ever offered there was last September right after they opened.

If they feel like they need to offer discounts to help fill rooms, they'll offer discounts there again, but don't count on it.

Nothing else is generally excluded, but each resort may have a limited number of rooms and room types available to book at a discount, and when those are gone they are gone (unless someone cancels).

The only WDW accommodation that is routinely excluded from free dining (other than the Little Mermaid rooms) is Fort Wilderness campsites.

I had 10 days of free dining at POFQ late October/early November 2012, I booked on the day it was announced as a Disney Visa promo, although the booking period had been open about 12 hours before I came home from work and booked my vacation.

Did you receive and email or snail mail telling you when the FD would start?
Thanks

The free dining dates will be posted here on the Dis long before Chase Disney Visa ever notifies you.

I am staying at the Beach Club in September and booked free dining with it last year. When I looked last it was downgraded to quick service plan which I think is mean for deluxe guests.

There hasn't been any free dining promo or bounce back offer that has included the quick service plan, only for values.

Seems like there was a pin code last summer that offered quick service dining for free for all resort levels, but that's it. Never a free dining promo or bounce back that included quick service for deluxes.

The previous poster may be British. There's a long-standing free dining offer for British guests. But they generally get the regular plan at a deluxe resort - if they've downgraded to quick service that is interesting.

If they were British that would make sense.

I read that it was "going to probably be happening" on the Dis boards for the next day, I actually received an email from Chase announcing it during the early morning hours on the day it started (based on the time on the email) but I didn't get to read the email until I have gotten home from work at 7:15pm that night, by 7:20pm(or so) I was booked, the deposit was paid and I had upgraded to Deluxe dining, I booked online and had a great CM to deal with, I even booked a King room guaranteed without trouble. The CM commented on my reservation number being unique, I can't remember the numbers but the letters were K (start of my last name) and MM which I took it to mean "Mickey Mouse". It all happened so fast and was accomplished so easily my head was spinning and I just knew something would go wrong, but it was a perfect trip!

I wouldn't get anyone's hopes up. I booked FD bounceback for 15 days and no LM rooms. Which was ok we enjoy pop and like there food court better.
