Duck Two Ways - Sauteed Confit with Swiss Chard over a Herb and Goat Cheese Polenta Cake and finished with a Pan-seared Maple Bourbon Duck Magret with a Sun-dried Cherry Sauce

Chocolate Three Ways - Praline Milk Chocolate Cream, crunchy ganache and orange chocolate mousse




Michelle said, "Everything was good and flavorful. The duck was tender and tasty."

I have just a couple more updates sent yesterday to post, beginning with this one from AuroraMeansDawn.



Dawn said, "The time change was not kind to us and we cancelled our breakfast at Kona in lieu of sleep, grabbed some food court side orders of scrambled eggs and bacon and slid into the MK just in time for our Keys to the Kingdom tour. Lunch is included in a reserved dining area upstairs at..."


Columbia Harbour House

"All three of us opted for the Grilled Chicken and Broccoli Peppercorn Salad. It was a nice lunch-sized portion, generously pre-dressed with a peppercorn ranch. The broccoli is blanched and there was plenty of chicken - 4 or 5 long strips. It was also nice to sit in the quiet. The tour was amazing too and as a Disney freak I was in Nerd-vana."




"The tour ended at 2:30, so we grabbed a spot atop the train station to watch the 3:00 parade and shared some popcorn. Here is the current bucket design..."

"And back at the resort the manchild required "Lunch, the Sequel" and had a Chicken Quesadilla and Cinnamon Roll."

Then last night we received this update from Dawn.



"Characters in Flight wasn't running tonight but Downtown Disney was hopping! Between Spring Breakers and band groups and the locals in for this weekend's St. Patrick's Celebrations this weekend and next, the walkways were shoulder to shoulder to shoulder!

But we trudged on to..."

...in search of Bacon-wrapped Meatloaf!

"We had heard tales of this and people proclaiming there should be songs written about this delicacy, so we all three ordered it with sauteed mixed veggies on the side instead of potatoes. I really wanted to love it but to me it was "meh". I was happy however to get some nice green veggies, which I tend miss at WDW. Jesse loved the meatloaf though and had half of the mine. Dylan didn't care for the wine reduction sauce and for me the texture was just sort of bland and more like a run of the mill Salisbury steak. But boy was this meal redeemed by the vanilla bean cheesecake and creme brulee!"

"I use a two bites rule for dessert and I snuck in four, I liked the cheesecake so much. The crust was bursting with a caramel flavor and the cheesecake was not too sweet and just creamy enough! Dylan's creme brulee was quickly consumed too and it was perfect. Very, very good!"

"Voila! All told I think I ordered the wrong this or I would have liked my meal more but this is still, hands down, the best use of a CS credit on property!​

Now let's start with today's updates, beginning with our First Update of the Day sent to us by a new reporter who arrived at Disney World yesterday, 4HppyCamprs.



Heather and her family of 6 had their first Disney meal at...

"We sat in the main ballroom and it was beautiful. The falling snow was amazing."

Bread Basket


"Delish! Butter was perfectly soft for spreading."

All-Natural Lemonade sweetened with organic cane juice and topped with a wildberry foam


"I had two, even though refills were not free, because this was yummy."

Potato Leek Soup


"I loved it but it had a bit of heat I wasn't expecting. All three adults had this for an appetizer."

Kids grilled steak with rainbow carrots and green beans



"My son added a bit of salt and pepper and then it all disappeared."

Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops with seasonal vegetables served in puff pastry with a creamy lobster sauce


"Very good! My mom and I both ordered this. It has a bit of a Chinese flavor, which was not expected but delicious."

Layered Ratatouille - oven-baked zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, tomatoes and caramelized onions sliced and layered with quinoa served with a bell pepper sauce


He said, "If this is how ratatouille always tastes, I will order it again!"




"The birthday boy slept through dinner but woke up in time for this..."

"Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. It was delivered by the Contemporary bakers."

"This was the best cake ever!!"

"We had breakfast this morning at Akershus and it was wonderful. We started with items from the cold buffet and then the hot items were brought out. We all agree with everyone else that the potatoes are amazing!!"

Then we received an update from AuroraMeansDawn.



Dawn said, "Good morning Barb, or should I say Bonjour since we just finished lunch in the Beast's Castle at Be our Guest. It was an early to bed and early to rise day for us and Spring Break is in full swing! We were second in line to get into the Magic Kingdom, arriving at 7:15 for an 8:00 a.m. park opening. The rope dropped and we made a beeline to Enchanted Tales with Belle, arriving at 8:06 and we were in the second group. Our fellow live dining reviewer, Michelle, was in our group and she and I were both selected to be in the show. Michelle was Mrs. Potts and I was the Wardrobe (no wardrobe malfunctions for me, FYI ), as there were very few kids in our group. The show was cute and Michelle and I introduced ourselves and chatted a moment, then went on with our day. It was my first meet up with a DISer!"

"We were in line for Be our Guest by 10:15 and about 1/2 way across the bridge. The line grew amazingly fast!"

"What a beautiful place! You don't really realize how stunning until you complete your order and step into the ballroom and yes, I teared up a bit because I am sentimental like that. The photos won't do it justice but I tried."

Dawn then said, "And now, of course, the food. Dylan had the Tuna Nicoise Salad and loved it. The dressing is light and very traditional French. He may not remember much but we were on a work assignment when he was 3 and had to live in Nice for five months. Someone had to spend summer on the French Riviera, so we took one for the team and took the job. What he did remember was the flavors and this was an excellent representation of what the cafes would serve in Vieux Nice."

Tuna Nicoise Salad - warm seared tuna steak with chilled green beans, potatoes, olives, roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, and hard boiled eggs




"I opted to use a snack credit on the French onion soup and had the Vegetable Quiche and tossed greens with champagne vinaigrette. The quiche was quite good, with nice sized slices of zucchini and the salad was very nice sized. It was a nice spring mix and I enjoyed the more bitter greens with the butter lettuce and radicchio. I thought the size was perfect for lunch."

Vegetable Quiche - mushroom, zucchini, bell pepper, onion, and chive quiche, served with baby lettuce coated with Champagne vinaigrette




"Jesse went rogue on us and off his diet and had the Croque Monsieur Sandwich with pommes frites. I had hopes they would have the sauce for the pommes frites that we had in France (kind of a peppery mayo) but it was ketchup. He enjoyed it and was happy with his choice."

"For dessert we opted for two lemon raspberry sugar free cream puffs and Dylan had the passion berry cream puff.
All of them were light and delicious."

"Perhaps I was just overwhelmed by my surroundings but I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here and so did the boys. Both kept saying...really? This is counter service? I hope that it stays that way too. A lovely and enchanted experience!"




"And then we met Dylan's Hero...GASTON!"

"And Gaston told us that he was pleased we could meet him and that after doing so our day was all downhill from there. So we knew we had peaked and made our way out of the park through a sea of people. Quite honestly, it was more crowded than I have ever seen the MK and we have been Thanksgiving week and Christmas week!"


"So nap time and pool time for us until Narcoossee's this evening and then MK til 1:00 a.m. Talk to you after. ZzzzZzzzZzzzz"
