Hi all! We were thinking of trying Mickey's Backyard BBQ the first week of October. Thoughts on if it is worth the cost? We have two boys 7 and 5 and I thought they would love it. We will be staying at the BLT. What would be the best way to get to Fort Wilderness? Thanks!

I'd reconsider. We brought our son when he was 5 and we ended up leaving early (as did half of the people there).. The food isn't that great and the entertainment is really lacking. When they do the character dancing it's pure chaos. It's a good idea in theory, but you end up with wild mothers with cameras trampling people.

Did it years ago, I would not recommend it. As the previous person said the food was just o.k really not worth it. If you can afford it I would try the Hoop Dee Do dinner show. The food is good and the kids will like the show.

We go every year. First time was in 2009 when DD was 5 and most recently this past October. It is DDs favorite meal of the trip. I ask each kid to pick one must-do meal and this is always hers. I think the food has actually gotten better.

It is easy to get to from BLT. There is a boat that leaves the dock at the CR that goes to FW and WL. The BBQ is not far from the boat dock at FW. So, we always go back to the resort first if we are at the park (unless we are at MK as there is a boat from there too).
