I have been reading on these boards about the awesome deals that people get on rental cars between MCO and port canaveral... $25 / $30 / $40 one way rentals. How do you do it?! And how far in advance do you book?
I have been checking the rates almost daily for a solid 3 months on multiple websites (budget, Avis, hertz, enterprise) and can't seem to find a deal like those mentioned above. Granted, I need one car seat so I'm willing to add an extra $10-$13 onto the cost but the final cost that I'm getting is realistically between $90 - $120 for a one way rental.
I make sure that I enter less than a 24 hour time span to make sure I only get charged for one day and I've been looking for coupon codes at mouse savers and other discount sites. The coupons work but they're not even close to being able to get me a $50 one day one way car rental.
I'm cruising in May. Any suggestions on when to book, who has the best prices and what I need to do differently to get the awesome deals mentioned on the disboards?
Thanks in advance.
