....this may sound snobbish of me, but the last three WDW visits didn't include a WDW-resort stay, and I REALLY want to stay, not only on-property, but at a WDW resort....I miss AKL....

I don't think so. I just had a look at the availability at AKV for the dates you have stated and both Kidani and Jambo House had studios available in both standard view and Savannah view.

....he's actually talking more and more about it [over the last two days]. He doesn't really want to spend more than 4 or 5 days at WDW (I'd rather go for the full week) but I suppose it's batter than nuttin'! In fact, last night we were next door at his sister's house, celebrating my DNeph's 8th birthday, and my DH's brother mentioned that he had accumulated about 400 Visa points and offered them to us, figuring that he's probably not going to be visiting WDW any time soon, if ever again! Gee, I wish that I had such a generous brother.... [ ]

Hey I didn't know Keith had Vacation points too....LoL Besides I have a measly 39 points which along w/ next years points are going to be consumed rather quickly for the California trip...

I too would check Davids....Way way cheaper. Even now with people trying at the last minute there are some getting rid of points for $10 & $ 8 per point...A huge savings.

AKL Studio Value is available Sun, Mond, & Tues. & Thur. & Fri. If youre able to rent points, maybe doing like 5 nights from Sunday to Fri. Cheapest amount of points used & Flights may be reasonable, being that it's not a Saturday..

What is better for a 2 bedroom at kidani with a. Savana view. Is it better to get a lockoff or a dedicated 2 bedroom . Does one have better locations than the other . I want to be very close to the lobby. Prefferably giraffe trail. What are the advantages of a dedicated over a lockoff . Thanks

Well. just was checking to see if Studio was big enough . If Dylan was going or not.

For a Standard studio from Sun- Friday it would be 80 points to reserve this room
For a Savannah studio same days it would be 95 points.
For a value for the 1st three nights it would be 39 points then switching to standard for 2 nights & it would be 32 more---total71 pts.

I believe most of those sites to rent are usually$13 a point so in essence
The most expensive would run $1,235. For Standard $1,040 For value & split stay it would be $923.

This provided you go through the middle man...eg. Davids Rental or others.

If you go on the website you may be able to get somone thats getting rid of their pts for $12 a point, but being that its so close to the date, you can possibly snag up a real deal at like $10 a pt or even up to $8 a point.

A substantial savings.

...okay....something is bizzaro on the WDW website: I just went on it again and got a price for a 6 nite/5 day stay [4/7 - 4/12] of $2,388.26 for a std room at AKL WITH room, tax, 4-day basic pass, and dining....

....too early to get excited yet....WITH airfare that price jumps to $3,199.86....holy Hannah!
