Will prices lower for DCL?!?!?!? Because of Carnival Triumph accident?

People all over are saying that prices will lower through all cruise lines as people are canceling their trip for all cruise lines incase an accident breaks out? Do you think Disney will lower their cruise prices?

Cruise lines lower their prices because they are having trouble filling their ships. I think if anything people that cruise will move more to Disney because they feel safer. I know I was looking at cruising Carnival out of Galveston and now I am looking at the Disney Trans-Atlantic or Panama Canal.

As above...NO.

And only the people who had booked on the Triumph will be looking to book something else...but most likely, they'll book something else on Carnival, because they already have deposits and payments with Carnival.
I don't think very many people are canceling their cruises because of what happened. At least, not nearly enough people to have it make any kind of difference in pricing.

I think it's possible Carnival will lose future customers, especially since this is the 2nd time in recent years that this has happened. I don't think the typical Carnival client is switching to DCL. Most likely they'd go to RCCL or NCL. Maybe families with younger kids would switch to DCL. Not enough numbers to change DCL either way.

Carnival has had 10 fires in 13 years and hasn't had issue with filling their boats yet, nor has the industry dropped prices across the board. Do not see it happening this time either.

Who are these people you are talking about? Do I know them?

I would have to agree with most folks here by saying no. I'm not in the cruise industry or travel business but if any prices where going to be lowered as a result of this unfortunate accident I would say Carnival Cruise Line would be lowering their prices.
