Cruise Documents Received, Question!

We leave in 34 days for our first Disney cruise!! Sailing Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy.

When do we find out what our dining rotation is? When we get onboard?
Also, the docs say the normally begin boarding at 1pm. Our check in time is 11:30 to 12. What do we do for that extra hour or so after we check in until we can get onboard?

You won't find out your dining rotation until you check in and get your KTTW cards. While you wait Mickey is there and you can wait to snap a pic with him or sign up kiddos for the Oceaneers club and get their bracelets. The wait time will go fast. Have fun!

You find out your rotation when you check in at Port Canaveral. It will be on your Key to the World card. You can request a rotation beforehand if you want.

No worries about the boarding. You will get a decent boarding number. You will be on the ship well before 1pm! Probably closer to 1145ish.

I thought I read on these boards somewhere you can't possibly get on the ship prior to 12:00??? I didn't know that and booked an 11:00-11:30 arrival time, now I'm considering moving it back a bit if I can?

Don't move it! We had an 11am PAT with DCL Transfers. We were on the ship before 1130 with a boarding number 4.
Sign up for anything you didn't do online. Have lunch. Then explore.

Supporting my fellow cruiser robhawks's report...for the Fantasy 2/16/13 we had a PAT of 11-11:30 and got boarding number 3. We were boarding by 11:20am.

Robhawk..you got there that early with dcl bus?? We too are using dcl transfers....from resort.....maybe you were from mco?

Yes we were from MCO. The first bus left just about 915am.

If you want to get there that early from the resorts you need private transportation. There were only 2 of us so the cost was worth it. If you have a families worth of people, private could be cheaper and better. No experience for us though. We used transfers from MCO on all of our 3 Disney cruises.
