Hi All,

My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary in October. :goodvibes Since he's not a huge WDW fan, but he tolerates my obsession and goes with DS and I every year, I'm planning to surprise him with a trip to VBR for our anniversary.

It will just be the 2 of us -- can anyone suggest other things to do in the area besides the pool and beach at the resort? Open to most anything. And where would you suggest for a nice, romantic dinner for 2?

Thanks!

We got a pin and a card signed by Goofy & Max when we celebrated our 40th Anniversary at VB nearly 5 years ago. Maybe there was a certificate as well.

Maybe having dinner at Sonya's, on site, or the Ocean Grill in VB would appeal to you.

Happy anniversary!

We are celebrating our 25th in October as well! Happy Anniversary to you both! We were going to visit Vero for our first time there, but we ended up buying the DVC premium APs on sale in December, and so since we have passes, we are going to stay onsite instead and enjoy the parks and the F&W festival.

Thanks! I think we may have to check both places out.

And congrats on almost 45 years of marriage. Inspiring!

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary to you as well. ;) Our date is the 8th? What about you?

You should definitely check out VBR at some point. We've been once before with family and absolutely loved it. So it will be fun to have a week by ourselves - We haven't done that since we were married 25 years ago! We've done weekends...but not an entire week. Looking forward to it. :cool1:

Check out the restaurants in Sebastian. Our favorites include Riverfront Chill & Grill, Squid Lips, Mo-Bay Grill, Aunt Louise's Pizzaria. Capt Hirams has fallen off our scope - got a bit too expensive, though the atmosphere is really nice.

Also - Check out the calendar. Usually something happening at the riverfront park on the weekends.

There is also a thread in here somewhere - Vero Beach Lovers.

Congratulations!

Sonya's is a good choice for an onsite dinner. Squid Lips is offsite, but not too far of a drive. The food was good and the atmosphere is casual on the water.

In January there were 4 of us who ate at Mulligan's, outside. It was night, they had a gas fire in a fire pit, you could hear the ocean, it was a wonderful meal. It's near the Ocean Grill.

I like to ride bikes around VB area. There's an Historic Jungle trail that goes to Pelican Island NWR. I've never gone that far, but there's a loop you can do from the resort.

DH & I are looking forward to being in VB again.:goodvibes
