MagicBands and DVC Resorts

Has anyone heard when the MagicBands will be used for guests staying at DVC resorts? We are staying at BCV the first week of June and I was wondering if anyone knew whether the MagicBands were going to be used by then.

AKV is being used by cast members as a test resort for MagicBands. We checked in this morning and our reservation was flagged for MagicBands, but they would not issue them to us.

Because they are not issuing them to resort guests yet. AKL/AKV is a test resort and currently only cast members have been using them.

I am "young." I didn't get an iPhone until 2 years ago and for years didn't have a Smartphone so that my employer COULDN'T get ahold of me on weekends. (They love to email work, but hate to cellphone call you with work stuff). They knew it and I knew it. They finally had to sit me down and force me to get one (on their dime). And I knew it. The minute I got one, I was on an email-leash.

I can just imagine the awesome tan lines people are going get from these things. I'll be keeping our families in our backpack exactly where we would keep our KTTW cards.

Reportedly, if you don't want to use a MagicBand (wristband), you will be able to use an RFID enabled card instead.

Right attitude! I'm there with you. Should we stage a sit-in to protest magic bands?
