Sarah....the remembering part was kind of shady. You have about 45 minutes for the mixology/mojito tasting, it takes about 30 minutes for them to show you how to make the drinks, we make them, and then you have about 10 - 15 minutes to drinks those BIG 4 or 5 drinks. I've never tried guzzling down that many drinks at one time! lol I can usually nurse one drink for about 30 minutes! :lmao:

We made the drinks???

Ok my memory must also be hazy from that day as I remember drinking some pretty coloured drinks, but don't remember how they got there in the first place!!!! :lmao:

Can't remember the mixology class, if we made them (memory a little hazy on that one), but we made our drinks in the mojito tasting. We had little bowls that we mashed our leaves, watermelon, etc. in....then we had to chug the drinks down at the end! :lmao:

I couldn't remember it either. I had to look at my photo's to see what we had at the mixology.

We didn't make the drinks. Someone was ask to make one. All the drinks were made, we only had to drink them.
On the Hawaii one was drawn out the bowl and make a drink (twice as big as the ones we get).

Here a photo of the mojito tasting. I get the large glas with a "dirty martini"

Hello everybody! And a very happy good morning! I'm not bragging or anything, but my weekend started at 7am this morning. :thumbsup2 Of course I'm now sitting on the couch in my PJs not knowing what to do with myself ... nap, clean the house (cash money, if anyone here is volunteering) .... Would it be completely wrong to have a glass of wine before noon and just DIS instead? Can anyone else who works midnight shift commiserate?

Nice, my quote function isn't working. :sad1:

Ken, obviously since I thought it was Three Sisters when it is Four Sisters, I have no idea what I'm talking about. Ignore the short blonde behind the curtain!

We are going to try the Breakaway in June. We will sail most anything out of NYC, since we don't have to fly! Will give a full report when we return. :goodvibes. It will be our first time on Norwegian.

Thanks, Jodie and Kimberly!! :goodvibes

I had a lot of fun building the website for the 2010 WBTA, I also really enjoyed having all the pictures and planning info in one place. While Sue did all her planning and organizing, I was able to express myself with loads of geek stuff. :)

I thought about it the other night, and decided that I would see if I could make a go of it again, provided I still had the means of doing it. The transatlanticpirates website has been offline for a year and a half now, so nothing there. I kept a backup on a baseball site I did for Stephen's baseball league, but that too has been decommissioned. I knew I didn't have a copy on my laptop, but thought I might on my old one. After much digging, Sue found the laptop, but the most recent version on it was from early February 2010, way before I did all the cool stuff.

I wish I had the foresight a year and a half ago that we may be taking another WBTA, and been more careful about keeping backups. Where's the smilie that bangs himself on the head? ;)

With just a shell of a website to start with, I just don't think I have it in me to try to rebuild a new site. I'm really bummed about it, since I had such a good time doing it, but I don't see it in the cards. :(

Anyhoo, if you want a blast from the past, there's always the way-back machine......

Loved that website!!

Appreciate your taking the time to even look into it again, Glenn!

It's our Anniversary in March, does that qualify for a celebration onboard too? ;)

Of course it counts!

my birthday is August 26th..another celebration

:drinking1pirate: i can help with drinking..

I was thinking that too.. really! who besides me has a January anniversary..maybe we can move it or just get married again:scratchin or maybe take another trip too..:scratchin the possibilities!

Yes, join us! The more the merrier!

and, I do think you may be the only person I know with a January anniversary!

I think you are right about so many not being in the picture. It was such a great group of people and we had so much fun on that trip.

We are not telling our son about this trip because we do not want to influence the date they select for their wedding. We are secretly hoping her principal tells her she can't have the time off at the beginning of the school year so then it will be a July wedding. We really want to go on this cruise, but have also booked the Venice to Venice in July just in case.

So many familiar faces in that photo! We failed o make it to the meet, but I remember you guys from the pool. :flower3:

Hope you get to go on the cruise! I'm sure Venice will be just as lovely if you wind up with Plan B though!

I really hope we can go on this one, but our son still has not set his wedding date yet. They are still discussing it since she is a teacher.

I thought it would bring back many memories for those of us on the 2010 WBTA to post the picture I took of our DIS meet the day we boarded. I remember having to stand on a chair to get everyone in the picture with a wide angle lens.

I was on this cruise and in this photo but it's hard to see me because of the person in front of me. Unfortunately my large group of friends will not be joining me/us on the WBTA in 2014 (but I'm working on it). Nevertheless I have no problems cruising and travelling solo.

I see you are running the Tower of Terror Ten Miler in October. :thumbsup2 My DP Jeremy and I are running this too, it will be our first race. From your signature you seem to be an old pro!

Yup, I'll be doing the ToT this October, plus Dumbo in September and Wine and Dine in November (once registration opens). I just hope it's not as hot and humid as it was last year. Warning --- Once you start doing these Disney races they become addictive.

:rotfl2: Shows how much you remember from the Mixology tasting!!!! We made them!!! :lmao: :lmao:

LOL's I thought I recognised the name.. it certainly didn't look like the one pictured when we made it... did it :rotfl2:

I stand corrected it does resemble the one pictured.. this is the one I made

Well, enjoy the weekend, glad for the early start. I worked midnights for 11 years straight - and Debbie was a midnight head nurse when we met - so I'm sure you know "Eat whatever meal suits you" ( In the mood for dinner at 3 AM?, breakfast at 7?, so it goes) , so obviously, your choice of beverages is fine:rotfl2:.

Is it a Bermuda itinerary in June? After you asked if we planned to sail on her, I looked, and if there's a good last-minute to snag for August 23, we just may. I had been watching Celebrity for August 25 out of Bayonne, so we'll see what develops.

- and Three Sisters, Four Sisters, whatever;) maybe it's Five Guys wine?

Apparently it was me that had too much to drink as we didn't make them!! :lmao: Liesbeth said they bought them round on trays and gave them out. :confused3 :rotfl2: :faint: What do i know I was too busy wearing my Zorro cape.

Liesbeth! Phil and I are the couple on the left on this photo!! That was a FUN tasting - was that the one that we had all the girls who had come from the Champagne Girls meet up at the table behind us - and they were very chatty? The other people at their table keep SHHHHSHHH'ing us and were no fun at all??? Or was that the Hawaiian Mixology class ? or maybe the Origami class? I don't remember - the tasting memories are a little "fuzzy!"" LOL!! I just remember the CM - was it Wawan? who kept pronouncing STIR as STEER !! :-) :dance3:

I'm not sure either. But we had a hawaiian mixology before Hawaii in the cadillac lounge and this was a mojito class. It was after Hawaii. And i also did a martini class. i know I loved the chocolate martini but what else there was??

Oh I love that photo of us on the 2010 cruise! So many lovely people there......and some not in it too! ;) that was the start of such a fab time :)

I'm going on the Breakaway 4/28 it's a one day cruise from Rotterdam to Southampton. I have made a cruise this year on the Spirit, the food was great better then on Disney.
