So tell me...

You might not make it through the gates wearing only tennis shoes...

:lmao: Sorry, couldn't resist.

From what I've heard, Spring is completely unpredictable weather-wise. We went late February one year and it was cold. We wore pants and sweaters every day. Our friends went the week immediately after us and it was mid-20's and they wore shorts and t-shirts every day.

We'll be there in a few weeks and I'm planning on bringing a mixture of pants, shorts, t's and sweaters. I think layering will be key as the mornings and evenings will still likely be pretty cool, regardless of what the daytime highs are. I plan to check the weather a day or two before we leave and plan accordingly. I've heard it doesn't make sense to check sooner than that.

I agree with the PP -- bring layers (nights can get chilly even if it's warm in the day), and some options. The weather in California is very iffy in the spring.

What do you wear to be parks in early spring?
Only tennis shoes? Jeans ?shorts?

We went March 26-30, 2012

We are from Oregon so we consider anything over 55 and sunny to be warm that time of year haha.

Seriously though we had great weather and I wore capris most of the time, jeans maybe once? My son was in shorts all but a day or two, always wore short sleeves. We both took a hoodie and that was enough for us in the evenings or earlier mornings.

I wore airwalks or my asics tennis shoes and either was fine for a long day.

Going next wk and planning capris and tennis shoes for me. May go for the flip flops though (I have some VERY comfortable one I wore there last yr). Kids will wear shorts. Unfortunately more layers and clothes to carry around.

Lol! I was thinking a bikini and heels

Dunno if you'd get in with just a bikini though. Cover it up with some see-through leggings :lmao:

Back to topic, it really depends on how situated you are to southern californian weather. What may be shorts and a tank top weather to one person can be sweatshirt and pants to another. For early spring, I like to wear shorts, and bring along a pair of warm tights to wear underneath if it gets too cold. Hope this helps :)

We went April 12-16 2012- cold 2 days, rain and thunderstorms 1 day- and at night- brrrrrr freezing. (Take into account I live in AZ, so 60 is cold to me)
One night at WOC there were about 50? people in attendance (that's how cold it was to others too)

Definitely stilettos!

(Every so often you will actually get a glimpse of a girl wearing 5 inch stilettos walking around with a grimace. It's one of my favorite things to spot at the parks!) :joker:

I have seen this also and I never understand HOW they can tour the whole park in them.

I usually wear tank tops, capris and flip flops. Layers is good advice too!

I'm cold natured so I'll wear jeans and my tennis shoes probably. T shirt with a fleece or hoodie. Probably similar for my kiddos. I'll be bringing hoodies for them anyhow

I've been in early and late April, and while I found the weather warm enough for shorts and T-shirts during the day, I had to laugh at the number of cast members wearing winter parkas. Clearly, spring weather depends on your tolerance. I'm from Pittsburgh, so anything above 60 at this time of year is tropical. Southern California nights are another thing, though. It's jeans and sweatshirts from sunset on.

I'm going next week and have no clue what I'm bringing yet. Don't trust the weather forecast until a couple of days before. Just be sure to be prepared for all possibilities, and wear layers or plan frequent stops back at your room.

I am born and raised 8.5 miles from DLand so I am familiar with the weather trends.

If you are from somewhere where it snows, flip flops and shorts will be fine.... Us locals are whimps, if it dips below 60 we wear leggings with 5 inch heels cause that's how we roll in the OC.

Seriously now, The weather in the spring is pretty mild, mid 70s. The mornings can be overcast, and a little breezy at night so dress in light layers. Also, wear sun block don't let those AM clouds fool you, they tend to burn off by 11 AM .

layers and options! I pack a sweatshirt for early mornings and evenings...shorts during day if over 70 and jeans for late nights, it cools off quite a bit after the sun goes down, I even bring gloves for night time! I'm from the Seattle area, so anything over 60 is warm for me! we are going this weekend and have all of the above packed!
