Are they bad? Like a motel? And since its the cheapest place to stay....do they take less care of them? ie..dirty??!?

Um, no. :confused3

We have stayed at all of the values (except AoA) and have had extremely clean, nice rooms in all of them. In fact, the room we had the most issues with was a moderate (CBR).

I think a bad room could happen at any level but on the whole, Disney does a great job with all of their resorts. :thumbsup2

Ok.. makes me nervous. lol We are staying in AoA. We get there tomorrow! thanks.. easesmy mind

All of our trips except the last 2 have been value, and we have never had a dirty or bad stay. I do notice that both Port Orleans seemed to be soundproofed a little better, and rooms a tad bigger, but I will say we considered 2 rooms at value this coming trip, but decided to go back to POR. I actually prefer the bus "lines" rather than the shoving of the herds at the "covered" moderate stops, but I think I am in the minority. Also there is only one bus stop at values. To me the values were a little more crazy and noisy, but wouldn't say for one second that they aren't kept up as well as other resorts.

We stayed at AoA last year and loved it. Disney does a great job keeping the hotel and grounds clean. We had no complaints whatsoever.

Have a great trip!

I am sure you will have a wonderful time! We have friends who are at AoA this week and are having a blast and absolutely LOVING the resort. :thumbsup2

I've stayed at AoA and All Star Sports and Music and all of them were clean and well kept.

The "value" aspect is reflected in room size and resort amenities. The values have food courts but no table service restaurants, no water slides at the pools, double beds in the rooms rather than queen size, and exterior corridors. (The suites at AoA are an exception to the last two bits.) There's almost certainly a few other things I'm not remembering off the top of my head as well.

Just got home from all star sports last week . Absolutely loved it!!! I have stayed at cbr , POR , wilderness lodge, all star movies - I enjoyed each stay. None of the hotels were dirty and each had their own special disney magic . I wouldn't hesitate staying at value again.

Disney has spoiled all of us. We compare everywhere else we stay to "The Disney Quality". Disney doesn't allow dirt. That's why we keep coming back! :thumbsup2

The #1 thing to remember with a Disney resort is that it is Disney. You are on property, you get EMH, they are themed, the transportation is right there.

#2 AoA is brand new, so it should be in really great shape.

However, in my opinion, after that it depends on your frame of reference. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and have stayed at a lot of different hotels in a lot of different places. With that frame of reference, I am not a fan of the value resorts, and have been known to complain a little bit even at the Deluxe resorts.

But that being said, I have never had an issue with cleanliness at a Disney resort.

Well my one and only experience so far on site was POFQ and I was rather disappointed in that it wasn't as clean as I would expect for the price and for Disney. It was more of a motel quality room to me. Which made me definitely nervous about what a value room would be like, but the amenities and location will keep us at mod or deluxe level most likely.

Once you get past the Values not having Indoor Plumbing, they are really pretty nice.;):)

So my crazy computer is double posting tonight ... I'm not sure how to delete so I will edit.

We stayed at one of the All Stars in summer of 2010. I thought it was noisier (lots of school trip kids), the basic rooms were smaller, the bathroom was tiny, the beds were not as nice, etc.

Since all WDW Disney resorts are on Disney property, it would be counter-productive to have Disney hotel rooms with different standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Disney goes to great lengths to offer uniformity and consistency of service, appearance, friendliness and most importantly, Value For The Money. The resort differences have been listed by PPs and have to do with amenities, room size, etc. I stayed at Pop and ASMo in November, first time at Values. And they were as "Disney Quality" as my previous Moderate stays. One thing I missed at the All Stars was Espresso Coffee at the food court. They had it at Pop/AoA, so Pop's where I'll stay next time (cheaper resort prices than AoA, and just across the bridge).

Give Values a try, and write back!

These rooms are the equivalent to a Hampton Inn without the Free Breakfast and indoor corridors in terms of value. I have stayed in much worst hotels than anything I've experienced in a Value. I've stayed in everything from Presidential Suites to rooms on US 192. Values big differences are small things like Coffee Makers and room size. I am staying in a value this week when I visit and have no qualms about it.

I check in tomorrow to AoA..and I will write back! thanks everyone! Our of everything....I hate exterrior corrdors... lol(im begin serious...). but I guess Im just weird

We've stayed at Pop twice and Movies once and we're staying there again in April. They're clean, rooms are nice, pools are nice, the food court is constantly being cleaned, the grounds are nice and relaxing, etc etc. I have no complaints about these resorts. We looked into staying at POR for our next trip but just can't bring ourselves to spend the extra money to sleep when we've found nothing wrong with the values. :)
