Be my guest... Dinner or lunch?

Is it that much nicer in the evening, or about the same.
I am going with my DD 11, and trying to figure out which to do.
We are both picky eaters, the lunch menu looked a little better, but I don't want to miss any ambiance, if its that much nicer at night.
Thanks in advance!

I would say dinner. Not because of the menu, but because I will be standing in lines for rides, so I not going to stand in long lines to eat;)

Our family had dinner and lunch in December for my 40th Birthday trip. We were highly disappointed with our dinner but loved lunch. It is beautiful inside and the little touches make it very special. Our food and the service at dinner were medicore at best. Lunch was very good. We will not be returning for dinner but will be going back for lunch.

Now my vote would be for lunch. Yes, you do stand in line but you get to see more of the restaurant at lunch so it's more of an "adventure". (They only have 2 rooms open at dinner and I'm not sure how much "touring" you can do without disturbing the servers and guests that are doing TS dining as opposed to CS at lunch).

IMHO, I think of BOG as being somewhat of an "attraction" in itself, in addition to a restaurant. (you just get to eat too). There is no other restaurant at this point quite like it.:thumbsup2

Well, I am leaning towards lunch, as I like the option of being able to look around. I checked out your dining review, it looks awesome!
Thanks everyone!

Really enjoyed your review. Thanks - going in July (Dinner) :thumbsup2

RHMH, I certainly hope you enjoy dinner. If you can get an ADR for dinner, that's great. :thumbsup2

And tink70 if you decide on lunch, here's a tip, I recommend going earlier and BEFORE you get in line, go get FPs for Under the Sea, it's a great attraction:thumbsup2...and then get in line for lunch, this way when you finish lunch you can walk onto the attraction. (when we went @ 12:45 there was a 90 min. standby wait already!)

jwfla422, thats a great idea! Thanks for suggesting it. I hope I can get a fastpass, last June we were there are the same time, and it wasnt easy getting them, everything was so busy!

Hmm. We have reservations for dinner. Hopefully it will live up to our expectations.

If I am using a QS credit here for lunch I could get a drink, sandwich with fries and a desert is that correct??

We had dinner reservations for our July trip but had to change everything to June and can't get one. I have heard from several people and the boards that lunch is the better option especially as far as the food goes. I think we are leaning more towards lunch (also heard/read going at 2pm or very early is best) but of course I will check everyday bc its part of the fun and frustration. Enjoy whichever you decide!

My vote is for lunch. The castle is amazing and the service good. We went for lunch because of the menu. I planned on having the grilled steak sandwich and changed my mind last minute to the braised pork. Oh my goodness the braised pork is AMAZING!!! Best QS dish all week(competes with sit down meals)!!! My group tried almost everything as there were 12 of us and we also raved about the turkey sandwich. Cupcakes are delicious.

I'm really starting to look forward to the food, sounds yummy! I think I'm leaning towards lunch..... :)
