no availability at Beach Club in October?

I'm attempting to book the first week in October at the BC and the website is saying that all rooms are unavailable?? Including Club Level rooms? Only Club Level left for the 2nd week of Oct. Is something happening that I don't know about? I've booked in December/January for the past 3 years and never had a problem. Anyone have any idea?

My guess would be Food and Wine at Epcot. BC is popular due to its walking distance to Epcot.

YC lagoon/pool view as well as YC CL rooms are available that week if that resort is an option for you. If BC is the resort you want, I'd keep checking, especially since you've never had a problem booking the last 3 years for that time. Good luck.

Food and Wine would be my bet - Beach Club is just soooo close to Epcot! We own points at the Beach Club Villas and always book early because the rooms get snatched up even before the 7 month mark. I would assume the non-DVC side is the same way, especially since it's relatively small compared to other disney resorts.

Try Yacht club - great resort, not much farther than Beach Club.

And just remember, it may not be sold out your whole week. If you search for seven nights and one night isn't available, it will show your whole search as unavailable.

The Gartner Symposium starts 10/6 and the attendees come on at least a day early. The Epcot resorts will be packed for it. The symposium was later in the month last year. I was there at that time and the Epcot resorts were packed with them.

Try the Yacht Club instead! I wanted an Epcot resort room for the Tower of Terror race last year, which was also first weekend of Food and Wine, and I had no problem booking the Yacht Club about a month out!

Yacht Club and Beach Club are basically the same resort, with different lobbies and different decor. They share pools, gym, buses and boats. It's a great location -- and I've stayed in both and like them both. :goodvibes

Tower of Terror race is also Oct 4/5 weekend this year so that may have something to do with it as well.

I knew there had to be something more than F&W - we've stayed at BC the last week of Sept/first week of Oct for 3 years now and NEVER had a problem booking in Jan/Feb. Even though YC is available, maybe this is a sign to broaden our horizons and stay somewhere else. :)

Thanks everyone!

I agree that it's probably a combination of the small size of the Beach Club, the F&W festival plus any conventions. Usually the weekend days sell out the fastest, so those might be the ones causing you problems (they were the ones that were full when I was trying last year).

As others have said, the Yacht Club is a good alternative. I'd also recommend looking into the Boardwalk. My family usually stays there because of it's proximity to Epcot.
