Have an upcoming trip during Easter in an AKV-Kidani Standard 2 Bdrm... It was lower points to book so it worked out well for me, but tell me what to expect.

2-bedroom is the same - it has 3 bathrooms and plenty of room.

your view would be parking lot, swimming pool, maybe gardens. so you would need to go outside of your villa to see the animals.

Am I correct in thinking that you can fit 9 adults and 1 child under 3?

I think you technically can, but I wouldn't dream of putting that many people in that villa. We had 7 (3 adults and 4 kids), and the villa was at full capacity. There was no place for the kids sleeping on the pull outs to have any quiet time, or to get a break from the other kids in the villa.

We had 9 in a 2-bedroom in October. Two adult females and two girls in the "studio" portion, one boy on the couch, one on the pull out chair, and the two parents with one boy in the master. It was certainly tight, but I thought it worked out great. We did not spend much time in the room though - this was a go-go-go vacation.

I'm assuming the dedicated 2 Bedrooms have 2 queen beds?:confused3
Yes. All of the dedicated 2 bedroom DVC villas at WDW have two queen beds in the second bedroom except for some at BCV. BCV has some dedicated 2 bedrooms that have a queen bed and a queen sleep sofa in the second bedroom.

We had a 2-bedroom standard view last year at Kidani. If we looked straight down off the balcony, we saw the overflow parking lot. If we looked straight out, we saw the pool. To see the animals, we only had to step out of our room. There were large windows in the hallway overlooking the savannah. We had 5 adults and had so much room. Loved having 3 bathrooms. The master suite was very roomy - I've never been in a bathroom that large. :)
I love Kidani.

We had 9 in a dedicated 2 bedroom at BCV once (and yes, they allowed it, but had to provide bedding for my nephew who was 5 at the time). It works out fine. We were hardly ever in the room anyway.

So I would think 9 in a 2 bedroom at Kidani would be very nice with the extra bath and the extra single bed in the living toom.

We have a dedicated standard two bedroom reserved for August and there will be 6 of us (4 teenage girls in the second bedroom and DH and I in the master bedroom). We are so excited! It would be nice to see the animals, but didn't have the points, so I am really glad to hear that there are plenty of places to view them in public areas.

If you go on YouTube you will be able to find videos of the room. I don't have a link right now, but I have looked at a few and the rooms look really nice! I think you will enjoy your stay :)

Going to be here in June. We will have 2 adults and four teens (two boys and two girls) with us. AKV-Kidani 2 bedroom Standard View.
We can't wait. Hope that we don't feel too isolated from everything. We are used to staying closer to MK but didn't have enough points for anything but a 2 bdrm at AKV. DS has always wanted to stay here anyways, so we figured we would go for it.
Going to try to check out some of the you tube videos.

We are used to be by Epcot at BCV or BWV, so this will be a change for us as well. But the rooms sound wonderful for a group of 6, so it will probably be worth the extra transportation time. And the resort looks lovely.
