Assuming the renter is an adult and doesn't have any thing that prevents him from entering into an agreement, I don't see a problem.

LOL gotta admit that with some of the tenants I've had, this sounds not so bad.

Can't agree with it, but can certainly understand the temptation. (Close family members are landlords, and tenants have cost my relatives much, much more than rent.)

That is so weird. The story said he was scared and just accepted it???? At 29 years old? If it wasn't a situation of "more to the relationship than tenant and landlord" I wonder if the guy was from a different country and was used to stuff like that happening?????
