Diane said, "We ended up wanting to eat at MK yesterday so we added Liberty Tree Tavern and dropped our Sanaa ADR."

New England Pot Roast... Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite - braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables

Angus Chuck Cheeseburger topped with bacon and cheddar and served with tavern fries



"DSis had the pot roast and DD and I split the burger with fries which was great."

Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake - vanilla cake with a gooey toffee filling, vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce

"We had a 8:20 ADR at Le Chef's & got there early to ask for a window seat, which they gave us at about 8:10. Perfect! We partook in the Prix Fixe menu"

"I started with the Lobster Bisque and DH the salad. Then we decided on the Salmon & Macaroni to split. I had the salmon before the macaroni. I wished I hadn't traded! Haha! Salmon had a crisp-ness to it, full of flavor and the potatoes were chunky and seasoned well. The sauce reminded me of the one we had with our Anniversary dinner at Cafe Orleans in DL. I also had their Riesling to go with my fish."

Filet de Saumon, pommes de terre ecrasees au beurre et ciboulette, sur coulis de tomate et poivron rouge - Broiled salmon, smashed potatoes with butter and chives, served on a tomato and red pepper sauce

She and her family had dinner last night at...

First some exterior pics...

She said, " We were seated in the ballroom. The atmosphere blew me away! It literally feels as though you have walked into the movie."

"I had been looking forward to eating here for months, and thought that I knew what everyone order. I encouraged my oldest son to order the Cornish hen, and after the Kouzzina experience, he did not argue."

"I assumed that y husband would either order the steak or pork. Imagine my surprise when the words "puff pastry" came out of this mouth! That's what I was going to order, and we CAN'T order the same thing!"

Thyme-scented Pork Rack Chop with au gratin macaroni, seasonal vegetables and red wine au jus



"So I ordered the pork. It was good, with a light rosemary seasoning. The macaroni that came with it was delicious, but that did not last on my plate very long once my oldest son spied it. But the puff pastry was amazing! I wish that I had ordered it as well."

"The biggest problem with the pork was that it is dark in there, and I couldn't really see to cut it very well."

"We had two of the chocolate cupcakes, one of the strawberry and one chocolate cream puff for dessert. I chose the cream puff and this time, I chose wisely! The cupcakes were alright, nothing special to me but the cream puff tasted very "French" and I loved it!"

"We were able to visit with the Beast after dinner."

"This meal was so special. I'm scheming to get us back there for lunch before our trip is over."

Here is what they had...

Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops with seasonal vegetables served in puff pastry with a creamy lobster sauce

Grilled Strip Steak with garlic-herb butter and pommes frites

Kids Grilled Chicken Breast with macaroni topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella served with broccoli


"I had the Shrimp and scallops in lobster sauce. DH and DS10 both had the steak and fries. DD had the grilled chicken with pasta. Sorry the pics aren't very good, it was very dark and the camera didn't like it. I have to tell you DH does not like mayo. He read the menu and knew the steak came with the butter on it but on his steak you couldn't see it because it had already melted (unlike on DS, which still had a pat of it on it). So he assumed the butter was on the side, but it was the garlic mayo for the fries. I looked over and saw him covering his steak in the mayo and asked "what are you doing"? He responded "putting the butter on the steak" I then pointed out it was already on there and he was putting the mayo for his fries on it instead. We were able to clean it off but it made me laugh. I on the other hand love any form of mayo and some day I might put it on steak just to give it a try."



"We are glad we tried Be Our Guest but the food was just average, nothing special. Next time we will just do lunch."​

Now back to Amy's (atisikitabasket) updates from her trip to the World last week.

Amy said, "Sorry we don't have any pics except for dessert. We were so hungry we didn't realize we hadn't taken pics. I got the Key West smoothie for my drink and it was delicious. DS got the dinosaur chicken nuggets in the adult size, DD got the kids shrimpkens - chicken and popcorn shrimp. DH had the KC strip and I got the Steak and shrimp. It came with scampi and coconut shrimp. I know some people don't give this place great reviews but this is our 2nd time eating lunch at the one at Animal Kingdom and we love it. The service was great too (Thanks Mandy) We will be going back for sure."

Sparkling Volcano Dessert
A giant rich chocolate brownie cake stacked up high, served warm with vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream and topped with caramel and chocolate sauces.


"We got the volcano with our 3 adult dessert credits. Everything was delicious!" ​

I didn't know the little shop had doughnuts. Shows my one track mind, I guess. Always rushing to get in the gate LOL!

We ate at Sunshine Seasons for the first time in September and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I had the beef stir-fry and the strawberry shortcake. I loved the shortcake! It was right before they closed and I got the last piece and it was still moist and delicious

We've eaten there twice now as well with no complaints. Last time, I had the Pita Quesadillas and they were great! Plus, the atmosphere keeps the kids entertained

Our First Update of the Day today is from a new reporter who arrived at Disney World yesterday, LumosQ102.


She and her friend had their first Disney meal at the Polynesian Resort's...


KONA CAFE



She said, "We arrived at the glorious Wilderness Lodge at around 6.30 pm and quickly freshened up for our mad dash over to the Poly for our first meal of the trip - Kona Cafe. I wasn't overly excited by the options in advance, but was most pleasantly surprised. Although that may have been the Lapu Lapu effect!!"

"First up - the bread and Lapu Lapu. Oh my - I had heard about this bread, but really - amazing! I could have happily just eaten this and been quite content. The Lapu Lapu was exactly what we needed after a long travel day."




"I have an allergy - can't eat red onion without feeling unwell, so they sent out the rather charming chef Katrina to chat through my options. I went with the Kona salad to start, without the red onion, followed by an adaption of the sustainable fish, with tofu instead of the fish."

Kona Salad - Mixed greens, blue cheese, fresh fruit, and smoked almonds with a citrus vinaigrette

"Sustainable Fish (Tofu) - with forbidden rice, swiss chard, and Hibiscus-Beurre Rogue (the sauce was changed to Mango)"


"Honestly, the best tofu I have ever had, and I am one of those rare people who loves tofu - had a delicious mango sauce, the rub on the tofu was spicy but flavourful."

Pot Stickers - wok-seared pork and vegetable dumplings with creamy ginger-soy sauce




"My dear friend had the pot stickers to start which she loved. Her main was..."

Togarashi Spiced Ahi Tuna served with tempura fried vegetable maki roll and red wine reduction



"...and was less successful. The maki roll was average, the tuna, though well cooked (nicely rare), was oddly flavoured - although hot, was oddly bland."







"And then dessert (how are we going to survive 2 weeks of this much food?!!)"

"I had the Banana-Chocolate Creme Brulee - yummy, with the layer of chocolate under the brulee... but alas there was no way we were finishing that."

"My dear friend had the coffee panna cotta which was fine, just not the most exciting dessert she has every had, it was fine. By this time our long travel day was catching up on us and we just wanted to get back to the Wilderness Lodge."



"One thing we should mention is the service - our server Sandy was charming, friendly and efficient - everything you want after a long day!" ​
